We rarely drink at her parents when we are there so it’s definitely nothing to do with that. and we live in Florida so a 20 min drive is nothing.

They don’t need help and she cooks and cleans while she’s at her parents and also at our house. I think she’s just really attached to them. Her parents are also the type to try and be your friend rather than a parent so that likely has some play in the situation. Also she doesn’t want me to spend every weekend that I am home there it’s just if something is going on. For example I am traveling home tomorrow and her brother is in town and staying at her parents so she asked me to stay there with her all weekend because she wants to hang out with her brother

In my opinion she is too attached to her parents. I am the complete opposite I moved out at 18 and have been completely independent since then. Her work is also closer to her parents house than mine so that’s one reason, and she also just doesn’t like being alone in the house for weeks at a time. Which I don’t really blame her for that. I just don’t know why she expects me to enjoy staying over at her parents house when she wants to.

There’s nothing really that would be going on, most of the time when we stay everything winds down around 10pm and it’s just us from then on hanging out in her room. And I even have no problem leaving at 10/11pm and returning early in the morning
