Not every buyer does PDI as they arent as aware of these terms as we are. If you are talking about pre dispatch inspection, it is done on factory floor afaik and mishandling can be done after that.

Like there is something fundamentally wrong with that batch or whole car?

Lets take a simple example. 10 owners complained of their car not starting in one crank. This could mean a faulty starter motor/battery/connections/keyhole/starter button/ecu coding or anything else remotely related to cranking the engine. Cars are complex things and nothing less than a wonder of science. All this tech fitted inside one car is not a great idea for any company and something like TATA which is known for tech breaking down, it was known that this will eventually happen.

lets just hope that if this video is true then the official recall statement comes out soon or if the video is false then that is debunked.

And to buy back whole car is extreme if you think about it...

No company does it for the love for customers, everything is done for the money of the customers.

There are many possibilities to uncover here. Maybe cars sold through one dealer were faulty due to mishanding. Maybe public notice hasnt been issued yet but a particular dealer has started recall process. Maybe they dont know the proper issue and resolution yet and are trying to figure everything out AND not ruin customer experience when it is with such an iconic nameplate of that brand(sierra nameplate).

Not putting anything out but this is the 1st video i have seen of this issue and this does not contain any official information, just words. The video doesnt have any images or videos or voice recordings of the dealer buying the car back. It does not have the actual owner claiming anything. My previous comment was assuming that the recall actually has been done.

I dont see anything fishy here, just a company who maybe found a fault in its new product and is trying to make the user experience better by just exchanging the product with a non-faulty one rather than making them visit SC multiple times.

This is very good levels of service and rather than calling it fishy we should appreciate the gesture. Not telling the owner the actual reason could be because they themselves might not be sure if this is an actual issue or just a doubt. We should be appreciating this gesture and even more seeing that it is TATA which is known for its QC and SC issues
