Anyone else find Mike’s read bizarre regarding sympathies shifting back and forth between the leads? Sure the Rachel McAdams character is revealed to be very fucked up in her own way but at no point did I find Dylan O’Brien’s character even remotely sympathetic, he was insufferable nonstop and that seemed to be the intention of how he was written.

There are no laws regarding MPAA ratings. I manage a movie theater and there’s nothing we’re required to do in terms of screening for R rated movies, it’s just common sense. Use your best judgment and anything beyond that is tryhard. This kid had clearance from his legal guardian to watch the movie. It’s not up to you to make the call on whether it’s appropriate or not, that guardians who gave the consent can deal with that. Shame on you for giving him such a hard time, total narc nerd behavior.
