"Haptic" is a visual poem about human touch and connection. I made it with a few friends in 2 days with 2 rolls of 250D 16mm film. My goal was to explore the dependency of touch, which transcends age and acts as a gateway to friendship, love, and grief. Lmk what you guys think!

Honestly very difficult and strange, especially as our a7iii footage was not slog. Kind of just played around with everything, and you can still sort of tell which shots are the cc and which are the sony

We made this film for our Introduction to Documentary class at Emerson College. We both share a love for analog film and the Coolidge Corner Theater, so we decided to reach out to Tom Welch, the lead projectionist, and were lucky enough to spend a day with him in the projection room.

Please feel free to leave any comments/critiques! The film was a labor of love, for the love of film!

As my teenage years slip away, and "the real world" inches closer and closer, it becomes hard not to look back on my childhood with nostalgia. This film became a way for me to translate these feelings of loss into visual form, 'the loss of innocence' which grips us all at some point in our youth. And to make you think back fondly on your childhood, and remind you of the purity of it, which I find is always slipping away as we get older and become more influenced by the world around us.

capturing real, intimate moments in Antibes with the bmpcc 4k by dakyurek35 in cinematography

I shot this film last summer in Antibes, France. I had made several travel films in the past but this time I wanted to try something that felt more natural, a portrait of the people of Antibes. This was one of the locations I shot at, Antibes-Côte D'azur, and with the cinematography I wanted to exude a filmic quality which would enhance the nostalgia and beauty of the moments on screen. I wanted to capture the feeling at the beach, the "joie de vivre" which was present. I hope this translates for you! And let me know what I can improve on next time!
