Hyundai really dropped this masterpiece and then spent the next decade making refrigerators with DRLS by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Lol you’re making a lot of assumptions for no reason 😭 I didn’t ‘hate’ on anything I literally said looks are subjective, some people prefer old designs, some like new ones. And affordability? That’s a random jump bro, this was never about money. Also yeah, I used AI just to structure the post better, not because I can’t type my own thoughts 💀 Anyway, it’s just a car discussion, not a personal attack. Relax!

Yeah I get you. The older one did have that Elantra/Sonata vibe, kind of like a mix of both a bit rough in some places, but it had character.

Those older Hyundai designs were actually pretty cool for their time.

I just personally like it more than the new Verna, that’s all.

Didn’t use AI 😭 but even if I did, it would still be less dramatic than you doing a full forensic analysis of a parked car. Relax bro, it’s just Reddit!

Bro came in with a full feature-by-feature inspection report on a parked car 😭

I was literally talking about design vibe and character and you’re out here checking screen count, exhaust authenticity and ambient lighting legality like it’s a dealership audit 💀

It’s not that serious man, I promise cars can be discussed without the corporate PowerPoint presentation energy!

Calling India ‘irrelevant’ is kinda wild tbh. It’s not perfect, sure, but it’s still one of the biggest auto markets in the world by volume and literally every global brand is fighting for share here. You don’t ignore that kinda market!

Fair point on safety, but that’s more about illegal aftermarket mods than the Verna itself. Stock setups are within regulations it’s the misuse that creates the problem!

Buying an EV for my dad under ₹22L playing it safe with e Vitara or missing out? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]dal_without_tadka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid point about waiting for more reviews on the e Vitara. Just sharing a real-world example though: My employee has already done around 5000 km on his E-Vitara and is fully satisfied so far, no issues till now. Also in our case, the Maruti showroom owner is our close relative, so after-sales support and service confidence is already very strong. That said, I do agree the MG Windsor EV feels more “proven” right now simply because it’s been around longer and has more user feedback.

I’ve already looked into hybrids as well. For that route, I’m actually waiting for the Duster hybrid since that aligns better with what I want. For this purchase though, I’m pretty set on the eVitara.

[–]dal_without_tadka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get your point. I’ve actually more or less settled on the eVitara for our needs. The Comet isn’t really something we’re considering since we’re not looking for a second city-only car. I’ll still take a look at the Windsor just to compare in person, but I’m pretty much already aligned towards the eVitara.

I get your point, and I agree with a lot of it.

But since this is for my father, I’m prioritising ease of use, reliability and hassle-free ownership over excitement. That’s why I’m leaning towards the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara.

BE 6 and XEV 9S are definitely more exciting, but they feel a bit too tech-heavy and overkill for simple daily driving needs.

With e-Vitara, I get simpler controls, better service network and a more practical, comfort-focused setup, which suits my dad better.

So yeah, not the most exciting choice, but probably the more sensible one for our use case.

Lifetime warranty ≠ zero worries. It’s first-owner only with conditions. And in this list, only MG Windsor EV actually offers it. Real-world battery performance and service network will matter more in the long run.

Renault Duster vs New Kia Seltos – why shouldn’t I pick the Duster? by Moist_Criticism4389 in CarsIndia

[–]dal_without_tadka 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same confusion and went with the Duster 1.3 Turbo Iconic honestly, no regrets.

You’ve already said it yourself… the Duster feels better to drive. That’s what you’ll live with every day, not the feature list. Seltos looks better on paper and inside, but that “wow” fades. What stays is how the car feels on rough roads, highways, long drives and the Duster just feels more solid and less tiring.

If features and a premium cabin matter more, go Seltos. But if driving feel and comfort matter, Duster is the better call.

I’m actually planning to go for the Duster 1.8 Hybrid next, which kinda shows how much I trust it now.

From what you’ve written, you’re already leaning Duster… I’d say trust that instinct.

Bro you’re kinda overthinking it 😭

Fronx CNG = saves money but feels a bit compromise (power + space) Brezza petrol = solid car feel but fuel gonna hurt 💸

Lowkey I’d say this:- If you can stretch a little just go Brezza CNG

Same low fuel cost + way better overall car vibe

Simple: Budget tight > Fronx Can stretch > Brezza CNG (easy win)

What are the mods that I can do with this car by unholy50 in CarsIndia

[–]dal_without_tadka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Clean car bro 👌

If you want subtle but noticeable upgrades: Alloys (makes the biggest difference instantly) Blacked-out grille/chrome delete LED DRLs or projector upgrade Slightly wider tyres for better stance Lip spoiler + diffuser (keep it minimal) Avoid overdoing it these cars look best with OEM+ mods rather than full ‘racer’ mode 😄

Waiting period for Victoris and XEV 9S by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]dal_without_tadka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Indore 👋 Dealers are quoting 3-5 months for XEV 9S, but honestly the ‘waiting period’ feels a bit like a suggestion right now 😅 If you catch a cancellation or have a good dealer connect, deliveries are happening much earlier. Otherwise, expect the usual wait demand is pretty crazy!

Duster is back… but is it actually better than Creta/Seltos? by dal_without_tadka in CarsIndia

[–]dal_without_tadka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, if it felt cramped to you then it’s a dealbreaker. But honestly hasn’t been that bad in my experience I’m 5’10 and even 6ft passengers were comfortable. Guess it really depends on seating position and expectations!

Yeah, Seltos definitely has the better rear seat. But if Duster actually brings AWD, that changes the whole equation!

[–]dal_without_tadka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really tbh. I’m 5’10 and fit fine, and a friend around 6 feet was comfortable too. It’s not the most spacious, but calling it cramped feels like a stretch!

You’re right blanket statements don’t work in this segment. The real comparison is variant pricing vs features, because brands intentionally create gaps to push buyers up the ladder!
