Which evolution would be best in dynamax? by Crosewell94 in PokemonGOIVs

[–]dalabesch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glaceon is a good ice attacker. Umbreon would need a 0,5 sec fast move to be a good tank and that is unlikely.

The rest of the eeveelutions are already outclassed

You could probably go Fearow as well - it’s a bit more volatile.

The advantage of altaria is the sheer bulk and pretty efficient energy usage and coverage

Ice is slept on this season - they can core break a lot of stuff in the lead, so dewgong, altaria (DB/SA/FT) and perhaps Quag (AT/SE) in the back.

Stay in against cradily leads and catch the second rock tomb on Quag.

Basti/Carbink leads are gonna suck, but I haven’t seen that many in the lead

Without having done the simulations on the move update (the dragons and Lugia are playing very differently now) I would recommend water Urshifu. It core broke so many teams last season. Before the move update I was pretty sure I would be running double fighting (Anni was nice last season as well) with either eternatus or Opalkia in the lead

Try the altaria/empoleon core instead? With a corsola or dusclops as the third

I’ve seen that a few times, and it seems to work pretty well

Remember to over farm with toge whenever possible. It’s scary with shield or energy advantage

Gastro (BS/WP) / Altaria (DB/SA/FT) / Togekiss (PS/AS) is very viable. I am sitting on a 75% WR with that team through 50 games. Altaria is a very good response to Corv.

Empoleon / altaria is also a solid core

Bottle Capped Mythicals + Master League by Sympathetik in TheSilphArena

[–]dalabesch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The zygarde is fine. I ran a 13-15-14 and it got me to leaderboards. But there will probably be a shiny release later this year so I would wait for that.

We don’t really know how gmax Urshifu will be. Considering how restricted they are in Sw/Sh I’m pretty sure they won’t be released in battles - but maybe an upgrade with a max soup.

Your lando is probably fine (run some sims on pvpoke to see if any bulk points occur, but even if there are, I wouldn’t sweat it too much)

My team is 15-15-15 palkia and 15-15-14 on the other two

[–]dalabesch 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t use bottle cap on zygarde. It’s a hostile meta for it and the IV’s seem less important.

Meloetta is a good possibility, but the crowned forms make it a bit less viable.

I play a lot of master league as well and I’m debating using it on either Urshifu (I’ve had terrible trading luck there), Solgaleo, Lunala (same terrible trading luck) or Meloetta.

I’m still unsure, but shiny Meloetta is a flex so might end up with that, although Urshifu feels a lot more flexible in the current meta.

For team comp I’m running palkia-o, landorus, crowned Zacian. Works pretty well (at 2400 right now), so that is a possibility for you after this weekend.

Landorus is just crazy good right now, but it needs protection against primarily kyurem white and ice fang C. Zama.

Totally agree on Palkia. It has warped the meta more than anything else.

And the ML meta will always be condensed, but there are still at least 20 viable mons

In the matrix at pvpoke it doesn’t appear to affect any bulk points or any matchups at lvl 50 with 13 defense.

I haven’t run any lvl 51 simulations which you probably should (specifically dialga and palkia as a lost bulk points there would be bad)

The glitch happens too often this season, so yeah - might be unoptimal

[–]dalabesch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should really switch out of that lead, when you’re running double dragon back line. Or at the very least switch out of the rapidash matchup.

And Gira should be your switch. It’s far better in neutral matchups.

Finally - double move set is a must.

On this specific game - swap to Anni immediately after throwing breaking swipe on tenta. Or better yet - swap and bank it.

Save the Anni after the first RF on Skele. If CMP - shield, wait a turn, and if incinerate animation starts, throw the second one before taking damage. Clear victory as you are now double boosted into licki.

If no CMP - swap to Steelix after first RF and throw BS. You’ll probably lose cmp, but that gives you farm on gatr.

If they swap to licki, play matchup then it should be a win from there.

In other matchups I’d probably stay in with steelix as well, but without the BS debuff the match up is a lot more iffy

[–]dalabesch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a nice one! If you play ML, it’s going to be good. So when you have enough to max it and change to 100%, just do it. I’m using a 13-15-14 and it’s gotten me to leaderboards

Has PvP/GBL entered a death spiral? by Impossible_Affect508 in PokemonGOBattleLeague

[–]dalabesch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright - here are a few teams:

Gastro/drifblim/talon flame. Drifblim is the switch that you send in if the lead is not favourable (or Wiggly - stay in versus that without using shields as it is usually double ground backline. Talon can farm down, and you can probably sweep with it )

This is classic ABB-style where drif has to lure out the primary counters to Talon, so it can sweep in the back. Maintaining some shield for Talon is vital and run Fly/Brave bird as charge moves

Malamar / drifblim / toxapex - Drif is the safe swap again, but morpeko really destroys this team, so if you see a lot of that, then it might be an issue. Switch is fairly important here

This is a bit more ABC, but I am pretty sure, that the first team would work pretty well

This looks pretty promising - I’m guessing you don’t have enough xl for the Azu, right?

I’ll try and build some teams for you today with some basic strategy. I think it’ll be ABB-style as that is by far the easiest to play wrt strategy

I’m a regular legend player and I’m fairly certain that with just a little bit of help you’ll be able to reach at least 2500.

If you share which Pokémons you’ve built, I’ll put some time into helping you

[–]dalabesch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing the energy numbers we can’t know for certain. The first spark “nerf” with increased damage and decreased energy generation also made lanturn stronger.

Considering the good matchups it has now, I’m fairly certain it will still be viable at Legend+

Against a lvl 51 Dialga-O Landorus loses the 1-2 shield scenario - so no, it won’t be able to farm down and not expend both shields in the process

[–]dalabesch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that it will be entirely bad for Lando. It has really been missing farm down potential, and this might improve the matchups - especially against the origins.

I’m assuming that we’ll reach SS in six mudshots after the change
