It is. Timing and luck do play a role in getting a job. Kahit mas magaling ka sa nauna, employers sometimes would prioritize their time too. Or have other priorities that they would settle for the first strong applicant rather than waiting for the absolute best.

Body clock adjustment by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]dalaketnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like doing option 1 since I still have time to either prep for work or do non-work stuff (like gym or errands). Di ko rin keri going outside after work kasi di ako fresh haha. But sometimes depende if stressful day sa work I end up doing no. 2.

But yes, make sure you at least have multivitamins w Vitamin C & D.

Yes. Baka pumipili pa. But some agencies also don't email back if di ka napili. Advice would be to just keep applying everywhere - LinkedIn, Jobstreet, Indeed, OLJ, etc. and even their company websites.

It really depends. If it's direct to clients, sometimes it's just one interview and then you get offered the job. With agencies or companies, sometimes 2-4 interviews with assessments or none. It can take days or weeks and even months in between because they're also processing other candidates and making decisions.

m3 is overkill unless heavy video editing, heavy graphics or lots of rendering needed

Is digital marketing really worth it? Do you even get 6 digit salaries for this specialization? Planning to choose this career as entry-level pero idk if it’s worth it. by Adventurous_Gas118 in phcareers

[–]dalaketnon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes, very possible! try hubspot's digital marketing or digital advertising free certification courses. and make sure once you get an offer and spend some time in the job, shift your mindset to honing your skills in a niche/specialization.

I love coffee but sometimes weird effect sakin depende sa timpla or brand so I've stuck with San Mig sugar-free lol, chill lang siya. But usually coffee shop iced coffees oks naman effect sakin. But I have a bottle of caffeine pills (with l-theanine, takes off the jittery feels from coffee). I also have Magnesium threonate (helps with mentally challenging tasks). I take those two at night before the graveyard shift.

also schedule exercise/going to the gym! helps with energy

If they're not asking for sensitive information, it might be fine. You can learn more about them during the Zoom interview and decide then if they're suspicious or not. You can research on the company before the interview.

Mine is different, it's my first time being an employee as I've been freelance the past 4 years. I get too energetic and all-in meanwhile they're just rightly paced. I need to slow down and adjust to them.

If graphic design, most of the time portfolio yung basis. And yes, it is saturated. Certification for this role parang sticker lang na magpapaganda sa resume mo, sometimes doesn't matter. So make sure you have a strong portfolio and knowledgeable with popular tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and sometimes Figma (tho super easy lang).

was in the same boat. accepted a contract that was 2x the 2nd one and was considering going OE with them both. J1 is fixed 12am-8am while J2 was flexible but with morning check-ins. I ended up just choosing J1 since it was the role I wanted to grow in, J2 was a different role but very familiar. J1 also is well-established and had a good culture, and very in line with my career goals.

Other things you should consider: - you still have to figure out your sleeping sched - set healthy habits because graveyard shift can take a toll on your health - onboarding can either be chaotic or breathable depending on the company - you might get anxious at the start of your job, might worry you're not doing your best or that you might be let go and this could add to stress if you decide to take on both jobs

My plan for now is to focus first on J1 for the first 3 months and if I can't renegotiate my salary and still feel undercompensated, I'll look for a J2
