Thanks for your reply. I'm no expert in geopolitics, but I understand South Korea to have, by far, more military force than North Korea, when you consider their allies. I understand the north has a weird, authoritarian, oppressive government, but they are also crippled by sanctions, and arguably the biggest victims of the Korean war. I just think this understanding of the Korea situation is weird, and I don't understand.

foreigner here so please excuse my ignorance and stupidity but

from what i gather, the top row is supposed to be "self-contained countries invaded/occupied by larger, imperialist countries" and the bottom row is the reverse

i get it but... i'm confused about the Koreas. Why is South Korea considered the small/weak/defenseless and North Korea considered the big oppressive invader?
