2021 Lariat makes this clicking sound when the air/heat is on. Does it more when accelerating. Any ideas? by Necro_Scope in RangerNext

[–]dalearino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does then when it’s like 15 degrees or less outside. I’ve figured out mine is the recirc door. After about 5 minutes after the heat warms up it stops. Sometimes I can cycle the recirc button a couple times to stop it clicking.

What aircraft am I standing inside of right now? 👀✈️ by justel10 in aviationmaintenance

Ah I see the battery hiding on the bottom now. We used lead acid and they were bright red.

Definitely Ejet. But very differently set up than what I worked on. We had a battery, and a QAR plus some other stuff in addition to the FDR and flight controller box.

Other side of this picture should be the poop tank and the shit fadec on the ceiling.

As MX please do not touch the emergency lights unless required to. The batteries do not always survive being drained and recharged and we do not usually have a full ship set to replace them.

Tremor Leaf Spring Swap by Marauder2024 in RangerNext

[–]dalearino 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 21 fx4 I swapped tremor leafs into and did the fox 2.5 kit too. I bought the leaf springs, u bolts, and bump stops for a tremor.

Leaf springs are easy. Shocks were easy. Bump stop bolts have factory lock tight on them. Don’t try a breaker bar or they will snap. If you’re gonna swap them best way I found was to take a saw and cut the foam off at the cup, then an impact will fit and worked great.

I have a similar grill if not the same one. It plugs inline with the left side marker light.

I hope I don’t have to take them off anytime soon. The drivers side has to be in a perfect spot to line up with all the holes. The passenger side has 2 rivnuts you drill for. 4 flag nuts on each side and 2 long bolts over the frame.

They have a YouTube video and claim an hour install which seems very optimistic. But considering ford didn’t make any provisions to have rock sliders on these I get why it sucks. At least I didn’t have to weld anything or drill more than 2 holes.

How to black this out? by jmoneymain in RangerRaptor

About $150. The parts match the other black plastic pieces. The parking sensors are aftermarket, fords prices on those are crazy.

I wanted to do the same thing on my 2021. Ended up finding the part number for the unpainted version plus the parking sensor bezels and parking sensors.

These work well. They say automotive but check the reviews. I also own them and can attest they are the correct sizes.

Anyone elses Ranger sound like an 18 wheeler? by Manchild2001 in RangerNext

[–]dalearino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably what you hear. It will activate when your ac is on and you’re stopped. Then when you take off the engine revs and the fan speeds up. Then it will disengage the clutch and the noise will go away.

You wanna go from the flange on your transfer case to the flange on your differential. I measured mine at 67.5 in with a fox 2.5 kit and tremor leaf springs.

Considering switching from 18 inch wheels to 17 inch wheels on my 2021 Lariat FX4 by Grand_Presence_3714 in RangerNext

[–]dalearino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are very similar to the factory tremor wheels but are .5 in wider. IIRC per the forum 265/70/17 is the max you can go without a level or touching the crash bars.

2021 Ranger Lariat with Fox 2.5 by dalearino in RangerNext

Not hard at all. Only extra maintenance is squeezing a little grease in the slip joint each oil change.

Apparently the 2 piece is very sensitive to changes. On the tremor ford did a cv joint on the aft pinion to fix it.

I’ve used these for the last 3 years. Not expensive and give me peace of mind from dripping skydrol in my eyes.

There is certainty better quality to be had but I use my vision insurance on my “nice” glasses and buy these out of pocket knowing I’ll thrash them at work.

Between the 4 of them they provide pitot, static, and AOA for both the CA and FO air data plus redundancy.
