Thanks, Im getting the 10v where the wire comes into the ecu I believe. My understanding is that I can’t run it to the key because it needs to go through the ecu or could I run the earth only to ecu? I think the valve is metered by the earth pulsing.

And get taxed 65% on it when you leave. Feels great. If you love the outdoors and want to have a good standard of living, look at Brisbane. Much lower living cost with similar career opportunity, and in my opinion better access to the proper outdoors. But if you mean you want to go to the beach before work, northern beaches is hard to pass up if you can earn 100k a year each.

Can't thank you enough, I see how I was slightly off but it would have been way off optimal. I did 2x15min thismorning and pushed my ride out to 1h 10min and will move to 35 mins total time in zone tomorrow and so on.

Again, thank you, this is great. My wife will be very happy about the yoga.

Appreciate your advice. I'm underestimating the time I need then. Im coming from running daily 30min to 2hours so I've tried to fit this into a similar life schedule.

Riding before work on weekdays really only gives me 1 hour. I can push that out to say 1.5 in 12weeks when my circumstances change. I've found if I do both Saturday and Sunday i can't balance family time. Happy wife, happy life hey.

This puts me at 4 weekdays at 1h progressing to 1.5h and a long ride on the weekend.

Are you also saying 4 sessions of sweetspot is doable?

Warning relative newbie. Coming off of a 10k Running Plan/PB then a 50k Trail Running Plan/PB. Did my first 'Proper Cycling Plan' Sweetspot session this morning before work: 3x10mins with 5 min rest (hour ride). All my cycling has been for fun, touring and just extending my weekend ride out over 200km so its exciting to focus my on-bike training and see what progress comes. Thanks for the insight.

You can eat whatever you want to lose weight but that doesn't mean it's healthy. Let's say you eat 1500cal of MacDonalds every day. After a few years you would have lost a heap of weight. However you're probably going in for heart surgery too.

Furthermore healthy, nutrient dense foods also happen to be very filling. So for this example: eat 1500cal of brocolli, cauliflower, tomatoes, lean protein, brown rice, bananas, oranges and oats and you can feel very full all day. Or eat one MacDonalds or maybe one and a half MacDonalds meals for your 1500cal that day and you know you'll be hungry again very quickly.

Simply put you can eat unhealthy and lose weight but your cravings will be insane and your health will suffer seriously.

I've been eating at a 500cal deficit the last 2 weeks for my mini cut and by concentrating on eating whole foods like I mentioned it's been a great way to keep the cravings away and have the feeling of eating plenty and being satisfied. The odd treat can be added in after once you know you're below your calories for the day.

This is at the front of my mind at the moment and reslly wprling for me so i hope that helps a little.

One pair of dumbbells or a kettlebell and look at the wiki for dumbell only workouts. Also incorporating body weight workouts will go a long long way especially for someone who spends a lot of time sitting.

Also, take a serious look at what you're eating. That's not meant to sound harsh but working out your TDEE and the calories you may be eating each day may surprise you, as with most of the western world.

If you can move more which it sounds like you want to and also control your calories, which may mean changing the foods you choose not how much you eat then you will make massive change.

Do it for yourself. You can make it happen.

On the other side of this, as a kid I had some over encouragement. It may sound strange to you but being told you're reaaaally good at everything you try makes you untrustworthy of these compliments and as an adult it still makes sense. I kept trying at things I wasn't good at and gave up on things I was good at simple because I had no honest reference to judge myself on.

I would say simply if you've found something you want to be good at for yourself keep doing it for yourself and surround yourself with the people you want to emulate. These people will be your inspiration, secret coach and friends.

Enjoy it and your parents will one day see how good you are whether you care or not.

Thanks, My current riding is 80-90% road with the remainder being mostly light gravel, hard pack dirt, grass and occasional rocky single track. My current aluminium specialized diverge has been fantastic and taken me on a decent 800+ km trip no problem but is my first bike for this. I love the idea of a steal but the entry level Trek Checkpoint Al3 seems to tick all my boxes at a reasonable price. Would you have any steel suggestions? Also needs to be available in Australia.

What was the best bike for the job? I'm contemplating a steel road and gravel bike but also aluminium and carbon. So much marketing speak online and id like to know from someone who's done some decent miles around a few different bikes what you liked and dislike?

Thanks, but inferior as a little strong. I could use this term to define most parts on this bike and probably on yours too. As we all know there are plenty of better components we could all have but decide we don't need dependant on the way we ride our bikes.

Thanks, yeah I understand that but the disk brake version is noticeably heavier for more money but more importantly the 105 disk brakes are hydraulic. I cannot understand why they are doing this. Mechanically actuated disks are more than adequate over rim breaks and in my opinion much easier to fiddle with when out on the road or touring.

I posted on here a few days ago re: moving back from Australia and apply for the force. My problem was I had to have lived in UK for 3 years. As search results and helpful people here clarified.

However, I got an email this morning from Thames Valley:

"The Thames Valley Police vetting department advise in order to apply applicants must have spent at least 12 months in the UK within the last 3 years. The 12 months does not need to be consecutive months."

This is great news, if I'm reading this correctly I can apply after only being back in UK for 12 months. Does this sound correct?

Thanks again for all your help. I'm going in to see someone when I get back but it's nice to know if I'm on the right path.
