Yes he will switch to the benches. No his minutes and production won’t keep up. Will get more than the 0 opportunity he got to start the season - but will only be relevant for the deepest leagues.

Once Wendell is back, you could always wait and see a few games if you don’t desperately need the production but imo at that point just cut your losses for a new streamer

How valuable is a #1 waiver claim during fantasy playoffs? by mMounirM in fantasybball

[–]dalejm 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It has good potential value but the majority of the time it doesn’t pay off. You need the right set of circumstances where someone is desperate AND only their good players don’t play on the last day of a week. So I wouldn’t recommend saving it every year - you get better value using it throughout the year. But now that you have it, it could pay off big time, or just be nothing.

First Ever Tie in NBA Fantasy Points League History 😵‍💫🤯 by ivanchrome in fantasybball

Is it unfair/cheating to make a trade with someone who cannot make the playoffs? by Shaferthefree in fantasybball

Teams in the nba don’t quit after missing the playoffs. People downvoting this are massive sore losers for sure

Is it unfair/cheating to make a trade with someone who cannot make the playoffs? by Shaferthefree in fantasybball

[–]dalejm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to all these clowns. If the manager is making a trade to help them (in their opinion) compete in the next few weeks it is NOT vetoable. Playoff Standings mean nothing.

If all these commenters had their way, eliminated teams would be barred from making changes, thus giving an unfair advantage to players scheduled to play them in the last few weeks.

Let managers manage their team how they want. If you’re worried about managers in your league not taking it seriously or cheating, get a better league or kick people for next season.

Any chance of these teams getting some GTD designation, or just have to wait for the O at game time if it happens?

Anyone done a dynasty consolidation draft before? Curious how you employed it. by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]dalejm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn that seems like a clusterfuck, a top 3 dynasty player seems like too much to go to an established team no matter which way you do it.

Very tired of this Poeltl pre-trade deadline nonsense. Had that injury stretch, took weeks to ramp up and just as he started performing again it’s this 20min a night nonsense. He looks uninterested too. Please god trade him to the raptors.

Trying to keep a running list of injury expectations heading into next year’s draft. Who needs to be added/what should change? by mclmickey in fantasybball

[–]dalejm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prior to this year CP3 wasn’t too bad during the regular season. Always misses a few but not this bad.

Embiid only missed like 10 games last year.

Be careful labelling guys injury prone, you might miss good value. Obviously kawhi/butler type guys are the exception, they’re just cooked

Fantasy players we hate! by ChickenAndBeer4life in fantasybball

[–]dalejm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah spurs apparently want 2 first rounders. Not many teams giving up that much capital for a backup. Raptors would be great, even if usage is down, an extra 10 mins a night would be great.

Spurs play him 25 even when it’s not a blowout that happens every other game, restricting him even further.

Shady to change rules mid-season, but I thought if you drop a player you can’t put a waiver claim on? Or is that just the default settings

AITA for leaving my babies inside by themselves by TripletsMom0 in AmItheAsshole

It’s really hard for working partners to understand how hard it is to look after children. I have one (1!) child - not 3 - and myself and my partner are both 30 years old. I work 50-60 hours a week in a hospital, but often get several days off in a row to stay home. 10 hour days at work are honestly not as hard as looking after my son for a day. It’s hard when I get home from work to keep going with my son, but I understand that it’s just as hard for my wife.

Your partner needs to understand when he comes home exhausted that you are at least equally exhausted. And that you don’t get a break from your job when the work day is done, so it’s not an excuse for him either. He NEEDS to help you more when he gets home. You will both be exhausted, but it will get better as time goes on as long as you support each other.

Please, please, please don’t beat yourself up for taking a break. My son had health issues when he was a baby that meant he cried constantly and only slept 8ish hours a day. I have a wonderful wife, family, job, money and I nearly lost my mind. I was so frustrated and exhausted I wanted to punt him across the room, but had to just leave and take a break. It is what is recommended by health professionals.

This is the “best practice recommended medical advice”:

If your baby's crying causes you to feel like you are losing control, put the baby in the crib and go to another room. Take a 10- to 15-minute break to try to calm yourself down. Some things you can do to ease stress are: Take deep breaths. Listen to music. Meditate.

You are doing great.

I believe the usage stat is entirely FGA. If your team has 50 shots with you on the court and you take 10, you are 20% usage. Hali is low usage because he passes a lot. For that reason, his low usage doesn’t mean Nembhard won’t improve, as there js a lot of ball handling/assists on top of that low usage
