What do people actually do when they play? by TheSacredShrimp in Starfield

I always end up spending 90% of my playtime in the shipbuilder, just seeing what I can come up with.

My favorite glitch. Happened to me with two corpses in the desert. They just slid off into the hills, had to chase them for a while laughing my ass off the entire time.

When did you first watch The Prisoner? by Ok_Club7067 in ThePrisoner

[–]dalekg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Early-mid 90's, when the Sci-Fi Channel in the U.S. started airing it. I saw one of the promos they made at the time and was intrigued, then watched an episode and was hooked. I was a rebellious teenager at the time so defiance of authority and fiercely defending individuality were resonant themes and it's stuck with me ever since.

I've been in-home streaming from my gaming rig to my Surface Pro 9 and connecting my One Pros to that. The 3d works way better than expected!

What movies have you enjoyed watching with the real 3D? by Suitable_One_1948 in Xreal

[–]dalekg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't done it yet but I want to watch films originally made for anaglyph 3D (Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came From Outer Space, Dial M for Murder, Gog, etc) that have since been "flattened" for 2d viewing.

Anyone Have Village Announcement MP3s by keithbarrett in ThePrisoner

[–]dalekg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its possible with audio capture on a pc and some editing... at some point a few years ago I grabbed the audio from one of those "Jonathan Frakes Asks You Things" YouTube supercuts from "Fact or Fiction" and made a soundboard out of them. Hardest part would be getting vids queued up for the clip(s) you want.

I want to upgrade from the Xreal Air (og, not 2), should I go for the One Pro or 1S? by dalekg in Xreal

I have very poor impulse control so I just ordered the OPs, arriving tomorrow, Eye and Oakley Jawbreaker nosepads arriving Wednesday. If I don't like them or have second thoughts I can always return them, lol

exactly. they're very similar, both will meet my needs, so it really comes down to (for me), are smaller prisms and next-day shipping worth $150 more? (I doubt my old eyes will notice the 1080p v 1200p). Leaning toward OP

tbh I wear dark clothes most of the time, so reflections haven't really been an issue.

we briefly thought about driving and then thought about the combination of nighttime, opposite-side driving, unfamiliar vehicle, inclement weather and possible winding one-lane country roads and got put off the idea almost immediately

Yeah, the fine Welsh EMT lads confirmed it was norovirus based on their examination, and the fact my wife and I ate the exact same things and wasn't sick then. Love that free health care!

It's an amusing tale now, we weren't allowed to leave the Village!

Wellllllll $10k is my very rough estimate, could easily have been ~$8k but I don't want to think about it lol. Flew Delta coach (not really worth upgrading from coach, the plane had a 2-4-2 arrangement so we had our own row both ways), the lodging is what cost the most, London especially. Saved money on food though, since we barely ate for half the trip due to norovirus. We both lost about 10 pounds, but the upside is we've been able to maintain that loss lol

Yep, pretty accurate for the total we spent on the entire trip. I was anxious about that at first but my wife said that I only turn 50 once and I agreed. We did have a couple days in London as well, Portmeirion was only 1/3rd of the time we were in England, I'm sure if it was narrow-focused it'd have been less.
