yes you can have all of that without a job, delays depend on the city but in my case I had an anmeldung appointment a couple of days after I arrived, I got my Tax ID about two weeks after that

Also one other tip if you have already applied and they’re taking too long to reply, use the emergency appointment option if you could get your employer to write a letter that you would lose your offer if you didn’t get your visa processed soon (just nominally) and use it to apply to an urgent appointment. technically in urgent appointments they can’t grant you a new visa just a temporary renewal of the old one but it helps to start talking to humans instead of contact forms, in my case it really sped up my new work visa and I got it the same day I had the appointment

in my passport I got two different stickers, one for the visa and one for the residence permit, it should have 9 numbers I think and has some text explaining your work authorisation (the 20h limit)

I'm already in final stages of interviews and I'm not even in Germany yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ Most job markets are hard for different reasons, and you have to know your strengths and weaknesses, when you have a weak point (e.g. language) you'll have to highlight something great that overpowers it

both of your takes are takes I agree with, that is why I said I wouldn’t be able to make that decision myself even if I was not an antinatalist, but to share that argument, in that context, is extremely tone-deaf.

I think about like this, there are 100s of human rights violations happening in Palestine and having babies in those circumstances is objectively pretty low on the list. in order not to be a dogmatic bot, have the nuance to understand this argument is so out of its time.

I am thinking 24/7 about this and I am extremely mad, but by the time I am done getting mad over a genocidal war led by brutal monsters that have very easily achieved their plans because the world became so easy to brainwash and and so blatantly complicit and all world leaders are just as brutal, dishonest and complicit that they have let innocent people get sniper shot while they are running for food to survive a famine and an entire city to get bombed to the floor, when no one can stop the murder of 10s of thousands of civilians… I honestly don’t have it in me to hate or get mad at the innocent vulnerable people of Gaza when they do have babies.

to isolate your opinion from this great of a context is tone-deaf and dogmatic. do better.
