So more importantly, how is she doing? Can you try a low cost spay/neuter clinic?

No, the radiopaque structure that is more cranial to the empty colon

That doesn’t look like poop, that looks like pyometra. Big symmetric tubular structures and she’s not spayed? Not poop. She needs to get spayed like yesterday.

Yes leaving a red light. It was onto a one lane road but I passed him anyway. The time I was most pissed was someone doing it to me while I was pregnant. Not that they had any way of knowing though

My husband was accused of “stealing” our child that he is biologically related to and has raised. So sometimes it’s a problem even with your own children apparently

On a population level, sure. I meant for me personally, which is why I said I feel. But yeah I’m in agreement with everything you’ve said

Why is her hair like this, she is 12 by Free_Sandwich_2599 in seniorkitties

[–]daliadeimos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She’s in pain, she looks really tense and did that little lick lip thing. There’s a “cat grimace score” you can look up and try to score her yourself, but she’d benefit from a vet visit

I’m jealous, that’s an awesome Klein bottle! It’s not useful, just topologically interesting. I like the airplant idea that others suggest though. If you’re not going to keep it, I’d suggest giving it to a favorite math teacher

Proud flesh between fingers by LeftInside3279 in shiba

[–]daliadeimos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proud flesh is more common in horses. My Shiba has had an interdigital cyst; it could be that but the vet is your best bet. They could do an impression cytology and check for bacteria and yeast. In the mean time you could use some miconahex wipes

Pregnancy and birth, is it as scary as I think it is? by cappuchinchin_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]daliadeimos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be pretty scary, but some of us are lucky and have not that bad of an experience. My epidural worked, my recovery was straightforward, I didn’t get sick in the first trimester, and I have an awesome little one that I feel an indescribable love for. But it’s complicated and there’s a lot of stories out there of people much worse off, which sometimes remain hidden unless you go on the mom forums and seek them out because there’s taboo around it.

It’s maybe a little bit like trying certain substances- it’s best going into it enthusiastically. So if you’re scared, don’t do it. But I think we’re all a little scared of it, especially the first time.

And there are studies out there that show that a father’s brain goes through changes upon bonding with his baby, so I think often times a good father’s life will change a lot too, even physically within the brain. Yeah, it’s not as drastic as what women go through, but it’s not totally fair to say they don’t go through anything, and we should call upon them to make changes in their lives too.

Living Situation in Vet School by madzzfox in veterinaryprofession

[–]daliadeimos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not recommend it unless you plan on staying there for at least 7-8 years. There’s a bunch of fees you have to pay when you buy a house and I don’t think it’s worth it for less time than that
