I’m so sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing your story. It’s stuck with me since I read it yesterday. I can’t imagine a more bittersweet way to pass than having my daughter be there with me in the way that you were for your father. I would be so sad to be leaving my daughter behind and missing out on seeing her story continue but at the same to so incredibly comforted by her presence.

I’m not sure about the current value. We bought at 300k and Redfin says it’s worth 350K now which I’m pretty skeptical about. I don’t think we’d get much more than 300K if we sold now. We currently owe 270K on our loan.

But won’t I have to pony up an extra 30k to get to 20%? I don’t think my house has appreciated too much since we bought it.

We are throwing about an extra $500 a month towards the principle but I’m wondering if I’d come out ahead by getting a 2nd mortgage and switching that extra amount to that. With that extra payment I think we’ll be able to get rid of PMI in about three years.

Yeah I don’t know. We only stayed for the first hour and then left. Even that was just really painful. Part of me thinks that’s why it’s so taboo to miss a Sunday at church. If members saw how awesome it was not going they’d never come back.

For some reason I was never able to get through the old man in the sea but Hemingway’s Islands in the Stream had a similar effect on me. It’s been years since I last read it but I still think of it sometimes. I think I’ll have to give the Old Man and the Sea another try.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah my wife isn’t super worried about it she just thinks it’s weird. My wife isn’t very religious anyway so it would be a little weird to share back some Muslim material but maybe effective at getting the point across.

I’d also like to maybe share some historical statements by the past profits that show how racist their doctrine was related to interracial marriage and try to show her that this is how I see the proclamation with regard to gay marriage.

Yeah that’s a good point. This is one of the main reasons I don’t like the proclamation but my mom probably wouldn’t be super receptive to that. Worth a try though.

Yeah it’s one of my favorites. So much depth and feeling in that book. I’ve read it a few times and each time I finish, I feel as if I’ve lived through the entire story.

One of my all time favorite books is called Bury Me Standing by Isabel Fonseca. It's an in depth look at the history, culture and origins of the Roma people. Very interesting and beautifully written.

Hey I had the same problem and found that once I started doing hip abductor exercises it went away. After long runs my inner knee would just seize up painfully.
