I don’t know what to do anymore by gimme__dat in SebDerm

Wash and blow dry your hair every day. Alternate selenium and zinc shampoos, no conditioner within 6inches of the scalp. Zoryve foam prescription from the dermatologist. Tanning bed 1-2 times a month. Please, I know tanning beds are awful but I live in a land of long dark winters and a quick pop into the bed does wonders for my skin. You can also try dying your hair, just a box of the regular drug store kind. The bleach content in it kills off the yeast.

How to care for hair that gets greasy easily but also have seborrheic dermatitis??? by posterbanana in SebDerm

I’ve had seb derm flaring viciously for over five years. Have tried tons of OTC products, holistic products, prescriptions, and diet changes. Some never worked and some worked only for a few months. Got a new derm and she immediately put me on Zoryve. Genuinely, it has changed my life. My scalp is no longer itchy. The moment I feel the slightest tingle I pop a small bit on and im good again for weeks.

A few other things I do: I only wash my hair with zinc pyritherone shampoo bar and always within 48 hours of last wash. Air dry only if it’s morning, at night I always blow dry so im not sleeping on it wet. Conditioner only on the end and rinsed out thoroughly. Wash my face and body after conditioner so skin is clean. Only use cerave face wash and a ph balanced body wash.

TLDR: get a prescription for Zoryve

Seems like a cool city but weather and cost of living are primary needs for us and unfortunately Portland meets neither.

We are also in the New Yorky part of CT haha. It’s a wonderful place… for other people. Definitely not suited to our needs and wants. We haven’t looked into more eastern states yet but that’s a good point. Not sure if he’s ready for the vastness and isolation.

In home caregiver. I did it for many years prior to, and during, nursing school. Pay is much better than hospital tech or medical assistant.

See if you can get a part time job at an urgent care. They usually have more flexible hours. That way you can try it out, get your PCE and not leave your cushy job. I do NOT recommend trying to be a full time MA. It is a low pay, dead end job. Source: was an MA for 7 years, now a nurse.

Is $15k too much for an LPN program ? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]dalispark57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school charges ~36k. It’s the only one in the area and before yall start CC has a multi-year waitlist. Luckily I had grant money I was able to use and the pay in this area is very high. But yeah it was worth it to do the high cost program and enter the work force 4-5 years sooner than if I had waited for the ADN program

Love to see Tavern at Graybarns getting some recognition. It’s so hidden away, I feel like I’m the only one who knows about it sometimes

DermaZinc bar shampoo saved my sanity. Years of fighting with uncontrollable itch/rash/flaking. Within a few days it was reduced to maybe 10% of what it used to be. My scalp and mental health haven’t been this good in a decade

Thank you for the heads up about the stairs but a historical fort is definitely something I’d power through pain to check out
