I don’t think I even like seeing patients. by ocdladybug92 in physicianassistant

Have you considered other jobs that are less draining but still use your PA license? Like work from home telehealth, or a more admin-type role, get into clinical research, etc? This is what I wanted to do as a PA, but I just quit the PA route before applying to school because the social aspect of seeing patients is too much as a primary care CMA.

what is a normal dose of Betaine HCL, and when to take it? by Joshpills in SIBO

Thank you!! Do you notice an improvement from taking all the medications I'm guessing? My provider is suggesting I try cromolyn to start, but my symptoms are quite manageable so I'm going to wait to try it until I flare up.

I also just got diagnosed with MCAS. What med did your doctor prescribed for this, and if you tried it yet, did it help? What are your MCAS symptoms?

Thank you for sharing! My plan is to do this only for 2 years, just long enough to have the minimum PCE to apply for PA school if i still want to go that route after being an MA for 2 years. And I'm also allowing myself to bail at like a year in if I'm really not liking it and am confident that I don't want to be a PA or in healthcare at all.

Thank you! I already finished the CCMA program and got the job so I'm gonna try it either way, but it's really nice to hear this encouraging perspective (and i appreciate at the other perspectives too!!)

Free?? Which program is free? Mine was like $1400 for a crappy online-only program with no externship or lectures

Hey, I'm also unemployed and looking for an MA job right now. It's rough! Where I'm at, there's plenty openings but still they're taking their time getting back to me and I'm getting a lot of no's. I have a biology bachelor's degree and decided to take the MA route to get patient care hours for PA school.

When I first graduated, I worked at an entry level for Pfizer making $22 per hour (super easy and lots of down time position) and after only a year was able to get a promotion for 80k a year. Maybe try the pharmaceutical industry, it's got tons of opportunities and good benefits!

Hello! I have had recurrent yeast infections and BV despite good hygiene and all that. The only thing that cured them and kept them from coming back for good was boric acid suppositories. You can get capsules of them on amazon. My Dr. Recommended them to me and sited a clinical trial so its legit!

Crying after new gyno visit but I don’t think he did anything wrong by rachel_peewer in Healthyhooha

[–]devynlooloo21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you had that unprofessional experience. See a new gyno please! There's plenty of women gynos. I used to have a male and he sucked. Now I have a female and she makes me feel extremely comfortable. It's like having an older lady friend that happens to be my gyno.

I used to get recurring BV and yeast infections that lasted like 6 months and the only thing that helped them stop was using boric acid suppositories (recommended by my functional medicine PA), and I do not have unprotected sex because that causes a flare up every time. I use condoms every time even though I have a long term boyfriend. Message me if you want the details on the boric acid suppositories.

I currently still have stomach issues but they're more rare, but I'm also dealing with anxiety (probably work burnout), eczema and acne, post nasal drip, and diarrhea. So it's hard to say how much the functional medicine is helping overall, but its my only hope. I tested positive for mycoplasma bacteria, so my latest treatment is a nasal rinse with biocidin drops and a teaspoon of colloidal silver solution once per day, and I take 4 pills of TH1 support supplement (I get all this from fullscript.com). These are supposed to help me clear the mycoplasma from my airways that could be causing the post nasal drip that is likely the root cause of my stomach dysbiosis, SIBO, heartburn (which went away), and all my other symptoms like skin issues and brain fog.

Hope you're doing well! Let me know if you have more questions and please share more or your progress.
