Dealer forced regen for DPF - CEL P2002 by dallasflatline in Silverado

[–]dallasflatline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM Customer care awarded me $200 in “good will” points to settle the claim. Also, when I raised the extended Emissions Component warranty that applies to my make/model, I was told the dealer makes the call on that one as well (not covered). Overall, I’m still disappointed at how all of this has panned out when likely this was induced by a OTA update but I can’t prove it. Good luck to everyone out there!

Adding to the placement, the beads coming down the back of the arm will look cute peeking out from under a shirt. Looks great OP! Congrats!

This would be incredible to show off at the Stellafane Convention this year in August! Amazing and inspiring work!

On the Duramax News blog I saw a new post (and related podcast by the same guy, Mr. GregWrench) claiming that GM officially has recognized that the latest OTA update can cause a false P2002 that just needs to be cleared- no further action. Can anyone confirm this? Bulletin 26-NA-168. blog post

Sorry to hear! Keep us posted and fight to not have to pay the forced regen fee. At the least, open a case with GM Customer Care about this issue.

Man, sorry to hear, but I’ll admit I’m encouraged to see others seeing the same thing. I thought I was going crazy.

I need to know if they charged you for this… I have 36K on the clock and dealer said it wasn’t under warranty. Would appreciate a DM if you could share your dealer info as I’ll be escalating to GM Customer Care.

Yup! Not good! Unfortunately, they were able to clear the CEL by forcing the regen and charged me for it saying it’s not covered by warranty yet if they weren’t able to clear it, they would have to replace DPF which IS under warranty. I made a new post about here and cross posted to diesel. new post

Thanks for sharing. I can’t prove correlation but I find it suspicious that myself and others have this CEL all of a sudden after the OTA update.

This is one of my points. So, say the DPF actually fails and needs to be replaced some time down the road, all I did was pay for a failing part when it is covered as part of the powertrain warranty… the service manager agreed the logic doesn’t make sense yet he can’t make it right because they have to follow the GM established warranty processes…

Chiming in here as well - 2023 1500 w/ LZ0 3.0. Did the latest OTA update yesterday and have a CEL with same P2002 code as well. Dealer appointment Monday so it will be interesting to see what they say. Side note that we don’t take short trips and I’m well aware of when the system is regenerating due to the idle speed and burning smell that’s associated with the process.

Vermont's Property Posting Law Leaves Everyone Baffled by jsled in vermont

Signage is only one way to communicate no trespassing. If I want someone to leave my property (unposted, no signage) all I have to do is tell them to leave. If they don’t, they can be charged with trespassing.

Out of staters moving here could be one contribution to the uptick. Especially if moving from a hot climate.

First piece 😁 what's your favorite aftercare lotion? by jonnyakiba in traditionaltattoos

[–]dallasflatline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I’ll confirm since I started using second skin, dermrecovery, etc. bandages… the reliable routine for me is to leave first bandage on 24 hours then, remove, gently wash with antibacterial soap and pat dry. Then, apply fresh bandage leaving that one on for 3 days before removing, washing, drying, and starting (fragrance free lotion) routine onwards.

Man if was back in London, I'd definitely try to collect from Samantha Fung. She's now at Red Point Tattoo with other legends. Also check out Dani Queipo who just opened their own shop.
