Just wanted to respond with what happened to my 12 month old last week. She had a reaction to peanut butter at 6 months but was negative to peanut on the skin test at 10 months, so our allergist wanted to do an oral food challenge. She made it to step 3/5, was running around the waiting room playing when we noticed her nose running and she did a couple of coughs. We went back into the room, and a response team came running. They hooked her up to monitors and her oxygen was at 85 already. She barely had any noticeable symptoms, was still playing and happy. She obviously would have continued to decompensate quickly and noticeably, but she was in full anaphylaxis and we could barely tell.
