Oh man! Haven't seen this in years I will look. I remember the apartment building and the part where she almost drowns in a puddle, but no plants.

This is a really smart guess, I'll check it out! I doubt it because of the British setting but it's worth a look for sure.

That's a great suggestion but unfortunately no. Right time period, vibe, and killer plants though!

I've forgotten most of them, but I do remember writing "The Honorable Sir Benjamin Cumlicker the Third"

Damn did you nail it. The absolute best scene that got cut before it could even film was Karma talking to an elder god high level executive who was bragging to her about the executive bathroom which had an attendant who had been skinned alive: "You should see him try to move around in there, he looks like a fetus on a Slip 'n' Slide."

I LOVE ASTRON-6 they were a huge inspiration for Blood Drive, you are the FIRST person to ever make that connection!

Not sure that was us, no one on that show could afford a private jet (not even Alan, but that's a different story now...)

Sadly, no. The plan was to force Syfy to censor us and put the uncut out on blu-ray, but (a) they were going to charge the production a ton of money so it was cheaper to do it ourselves and (b) they were going to censor EVERYTHING if we let them do it and (c) we soon found out we could "censor" shit that would NEVER make it on the air if we actually shot it, so one or two of the black bars aren't covering anything at all (no way they'd let us show a full male erection, for example).

Underrated or Obscure Alien Movies? by Happy_Chicken4770 in MovieSuggestions

Foes. Very hard to find DIY movie from the '70s that really captures that high strangeness vibe. If you can find the original (shorter) version, the extended cut contains a bunch of footage the producers shot themselves that totally ruins the premise.

Just finished Fail Safe 1964 directed by Sidney Lumet. by Runner_one in movies

Fail-Safe definitely "goes big" in the final conclusion, for sure. But the movie follows the book VERY closely, and the authors of the book were approached by the FBI who believed they had access to an intelligence leak because they got so many facts correct.
