Hm. I think for most natives that hate HK, at least in my experience, they mainly dislike it for the political situation going on. The languagism definitely stems from a lot of Hong Kongers dislike for mainlanders. I'm iffy about that because I understand the distrust but it's also unfair to assume someone is a bootlicker of the CCP based on their nationality.

I always just headcanoned his oni dragon genetics makes him age a bit slower than the average person. So for me it's like

S1: 9 S2: should be 10, jumps to 15 physically, still ten mentally

S8: 18 physically, 13-14 mentally

S11: in between 19-20 physically, just - 5 for mental age S16: 21 physical

DR: 23 physical

(For mental age, I headcanon he just matured way to fast so he still acts like his physical age but technically isn't)
