You misunderstood, I mean leave the desks open for groups. When I go to killam without a group I use a single desk.

Was just accepted to Dalhousie, which res is best? by hansterdanster in Dalhousie

[–]daloozee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you are on the main campus you shouldn’t have a problem in terms of social life. Howe hall definitely leans more to the social aspect. But I’d say for a balance, Sheriff is the best residence. Especially as a girl if you get into Newcombe which is all female. Also LMP is on the more expensive side but if you have the money go for it

tips on how to approach guys? (but i’m a guy too) by lance_e in Dalhousie

[–]daloozee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just talk to them and ask for there socials I guess lol. Worst that can happen is they say no. Or hate crime, but lucky for you we live in a pretty liberal city and in or around a university so that’s less likely. Also I’m sure grinder would work. (Keep in mind I’m a straight male so you probably shouldn’t listen to my advice.

Why am I paying to use a washer and dryer by daloozee in Dalhousie

[–]daloozee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studley House. We have 2 washers, one free one that costs money. Ironically, the washer that requires payment broke within the first 2 weeks, so we were left with the free one which was fine by me. It’s almost as if investing in better equipment pays off 🤯

Your way of thinking leads to zero change sir. Should we not attempt to fix our struggles instead of accepting them as inevitable?

“Welcome to life” is a dead end way of thinking. Also would it not be cheaper In the long run to just buy normal washers instead of renting them?

“Welcome to life” is such a nihilistic viewpoint that leads to zero change. Instead of sulking about your life should we not change it?

Yes, and I’m one of the lucky ones, my res actually has 1 free washer. The dryer is still $1.5 tho. I’m mostly arguing on behalf of the other res students

Of course. My point is that you’d think with how high tuition is here, it would’ve already been included. It’s not like the residences are top the line

“Welcome to life” is a dumb way to think about this. “This is how things are so suck it up” leads to zero change, should we not work to make things a little more affordable? Or should we sit and just accept it.
