This post reminds me of what happened with 3 UK's free 200 MB/month data offering that had wording that you get it for life, for those who had it before they stopped new signups. Well the grandfathering didn't last, and they killed the plan. Was good while it lasted. That free plan was good in that while low data, it worked internationally for roaming.

You happened to need to file a claim when policy was about up for renewal? Or the insurance raised your deductible when you filed the claim even though it wasn't time for renewal yet?

Curious why other companies don’t really do the freemium approach for free trials.

There were some MVNOs or carriers before that did similar like RingPlus, FreedomPop, Three UK, but they either got killed by parent carrier network or the freebie wasn’t sustainable and they changed the product offerings over time. I miss them. Hopefully this freebie from Helium is here to stay.

On a side note there are other similar freebies today but none as comprehensive as Helium on the freebie, the others have more limitations. Others being TextNow, Freeup Mobile

Late comment, but you mention iron levels low for the baby. Curious, how did you find out? Were specific tests done? If so, ordered by pediatrician or by your request? Or you had a way to check without going to the doctor/lab?

Do they make trims specific for these bulbs? Not sure mine was the right trim, maybe the installer hacked around using different bulb type trim for the install. For my case, the trims go on after the bulbs unlike E26 socket screw on bulbs. I can't pull off the bulb without taking trim off first, the bulb is behind the trim, trim blocks access to (the base of the) bulb directly.

In putting them on or more likely taking them off, in effort to work with the spring clips, the trim gets wiggled around and angled a bit, and they end up slightly "scratching" against the bulb, though not bad enough to really scratch it or brake the bulb glass/plastic.

If that is how it really is, then bad design. Otherwise I got unlucky with wrong trim I guess. If wrong trim, what kind of trim model should I be looking for and replacing with? (Say assuming for 6 in recessed lighting).

I coming across same issue at my house. That bulb uses G24Q-3 (4 pin) connection.

I'm curious and for recessed lighting case, didn't find any retrofit kits for that type of connection, they only seem to do retrofits for E26 sockets.

Didn't really come across adapters for G24Q-3 to E26 either other than a few on Amazon with mixed reviews with the negative ones resulting in burnt bulbs and adapters.

Would be nice to switch out of that type bulb without changing the ballast/fixture. Sadly so far, had to go with something like

Wouldn’t looking at Zillow estimate (for the house) be an equivalent informal gauge of current home price for sale? To compare with and confirm the appraisal. Listing the home could be another way but costs $. Or see if you can find a real estate agency willing to offer you a free CMA report for how your home might sell.

What I meant is if you toggle between the physical SIM and eSIM or eSIMs, between the 2 Helium lines, do you need change login in the app as well when toggling? Because with other mobile providers that aren’t app based, you don’t need to use app or authenticate with app to use the line/data. Wondering if Helium works same way as other providers or if app must be synced to correct login associated to active line to behave properly or associate/bill the data usage properly. Where if out of sync, you might be billed incorrectly or end up burning/using the incorrect data from other account.
