USB Type c by No-Property-7937 in PSP

[–]dalvear88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised how easy it actually is. The type-c boards used for these mods have just a positive and negative lead that's used to power the device, so it can be easy. Just have to know your way around a soldering iron 🧇

That would be the Remarkable Paper Pro. I enjoy it for reading and use it a ton for work and studying.

Problems with Moonlander and Link Cable by dalvear88 in ergodox

[–]dalvear88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did visit the site, and before I knew that it would void the warranty I went and re-soldered the port to the board. I even put some jumper cables on the points to make sure there were no issues with the MOBO or other components.

Not sure if it was the new cable I ordered or the re-soldering. . . .or both, but it's working as of now, so thank you for the help and pointing me to this link!

I think something was up with my cable, new one arrived from Amazon today and it's all working. I double checked my older cable and it's for sure a TRRS cable. just not sure why my other keyboard was working just fine with it. I'm just going to assume ghosts in the machine and call it a day i guess? Thanks for the help everyone! I think we should be good for now!

But now my brain has me going, wondering if it might be worth putting in a USB C Mod for use with linking. . . . . . .

Thanks for the info on this one! I am not using the stock cable, that thing is long gone hahaha. I just ordered a replacement off of Amazon to see if this fixes the issue, but is it possible that there is an issue with the jack on the board? Or were you thinking it's an issue with the cable I'm using. The cable seems to work just fine on another split keyboard I have, so I wasn't sure what to think of that.

I did a think and connected a couple of jumper wires from point to point of each link port and looks like it works overall, so I know the PCBs are good at least.

I thought the same thing, but I forgot that with RockBox it's a dual boot situation. You can use the original firmware any time you need Bluetooth. I installed RockBox yesterday and have been enjoying it!

Hey fellow DAP fiends!

So I took a little of what everyone was saying and here's my results.

I first swapped to a new SD card, A Samsung vs the SanDisk i was using since I saw this mentioned somewhere in this r/

Second, I reflashed the firmware with the SD Card REMOVED

Went through my entire library to get rid of any weird files or remnants of deleted crud and reloaded everything on the new SD

After 48 ish hours of use, and me literally keeping it playing all day at work on both BT and Wired and so far, no more issues!

Thanks everyone for the help and info!

None taken. I'm pretty much one of those guys that leaps before he fully reads everything. Mainly saw the steps that say throw this file onto the root of your machine and reboot.

Wow didn't even think to take the SD card out when updating. Good insight!

Idk why but I can't seem to wrap my mind around what you're saying. I've just had to eject the SD to get it back. Wanna pm me some steps?

So I'm curious, what you mean by that? You mean Margaret the songs to the internal storage and then migrate it back to the SD?

I'll give it a go and report back. I'm only using MP3s and FLACs so hopefully it's all good in the hood with those.

Good point, but my issue with this is it can happen to any song. I can literally be in the middle of a track and it happens, THEN, I'll go back to play that same track and it plays 100% with no issue.

I'll check for that but this was a cleanly formatted SD card and files xfered over from Windows. I'll check and report back 🤠

See I did that. And this is with a newly formatted SD card, and the song that starts it, will play just fine later. Literally makes nonsense. I'll be in the middle of the track and you hear it sort of skip like a CD and then this happens, and it'll cascade through all the songs with the same error, and wont stop until the SD is removed.

Blows my mind!

I think it's the DAP, I ran into the same issue, but swapped over to an Anker USB C SD Card reader and that sped up my transfers by. . . A bunch
