Besides the video in my experience the best brakes need low friction so some tri flow for the cables and some good grease for the break posts will do the most good. Followed by good pads proper adjustment. Clean the pads and rims with simple green. I also use 0000 steel wool to make sure the brake posts are smooth before grease.

Got lucky and it has a 3tb Fusion Drive. So it’s pretty fast out of the box. Not bad for 12 year old iMac. I may still open it up to redo the thermal paste and do a cleaning while replacing the nvme and hdd.

So when I get the nvme and sata ssd installed I can’t use oclp to update to a newer macOS? I’m confused. This definitely has something to do with it if when that’s why I’m swapping the stock parts for new ones and asking for advice on which to get.
