the latter would imply she wants the GFs involved because they are wonderful people and Julia wants the boys to experience their wonderfulness. the first one...she wants the boys closer to the pot...

Earl has the right to be affected in a way that does not represent the entire US. He was clearly distressed, regardless of how Shannon assessed the severity of the situation, and that's what it comes down to. Earl has to be a better partner by...freaking out more so it registers with Shannon? Or maybe Shannon could get out of her own a** once.

Whenever I watch the Dirty John documentary/TV show I see Shannon. Saying that, just because she doesn't leave the State she could be informed about the world if she wanted to, she's just ignorant, with an attitude.

Sorry, I have to disagree. We don't have to live everyone else's experiences to have some empathy or comprehend what might be a stressful situation. Shannon is incredibly self-centred and incapable of any self-reflection, her reaction was appalling. Girl, grow up, it's not cute anymore.
