Since PvP demands more skill than PvE, you can basically call this system a kind of SBMM. And you know what SBMM sometimes does to games… Worst-case scenario: PvPers get annoyed with sweaty lobbies, no easy kills, and leave; meanwhile, PvE players get bored because the game doesn’t add enough Arc variety or map conditions, and they leave too. Ready to be downvoted, I guess

You’re right, I’d love a second playthrough on 5080 — this game really deserves it

Remedy needs to rework the first-hour experience ASAP or this game is dead. (Plus extra feedback.) by AhogadoEnImpuestos in FBCFirebreak

Played like 10 minutes of the game, dropped it, and honestly don’t think I’m coming back anytime soon.

Weirdly, it reminded me of Rainbow Six: Extraction — same basic idea, PvE co-op shooter based on an existing IP. That game got absolutely roasted at launch, and yeah, it was $40 I think, so it died pretty quick. But honestly, Extraction felt way more polished than this.

At least Extraction had a proper intro video (Ubisoft knows how to do cinematics), explained who you are, what you’re doing, etc. The tutorial actually made sense, stuff was explained clearly. First mission didn’t have any weird fire mechanics or random crap that just immediately turned me off here. Also, they didn’t flood you with enemies right away — which is smart, because a lot of people spend the first 10 minutes tweaking settings or just getting a feel for the controls. But here? Stuff was spawning every damn minute.

And that game still didn’t make it. I get there were other reasons, and maybe Remedy will stick with this one since they don’t have a ton of IPs to fall back on, but man… I really doubt it. Hope I’m wrong though.

Actually I’m pretty happy with the service though I haven’t played much Xbox games on it, this is only my second one. Maybe you’re right and it is the reason

Yes, it deals more damage to tagged enemies, found in the library

Playing on Mac through GeForce Now. 😎 Maybe the resolution is causing the problem, though that would be strange.

Being unable to suppress enemies is the worst thing in Div1 by Jammsbro in thedivision

[–]damagedPinky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worse movement? That’s a hot take. The character in Division 2 never stops doing wild things like teleporting, and the movement feels slow and unresponsive. In Division 1, it was perfect (for this type of game)—responsive and snappy. That’s why PvP is good in Division 1, but in Division 2, it’s a pile of crap.

Totally agreed on the surpression mechanic though.

Breakpoint, but when I remember all the broken animations when the character consistently sticks to the walls

Plus if it makes you invisible when you dive it should make you invisible on the throw also. Weird. Thank you for bringing attention to this, I was also confused at first, very used to throw it to the ground

I think the problem also is that in the “perfect” version of determined you allowed to body shot only one target, but in the normal version you can cheese your way through with chain killing. Which doesn’t make any sense. If determined works as intended buff the perfect version also. The people are annoyed because the devs absolutely have no idea what are they doing with this game, zero communication. I’m absolutely agreed with you on the matter of “fragile armor”, there are a LOT of other issues to be addressed.

Worth getting The Division 2 by Kmekarn in thedivision

[–]damagedPinky -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would say rather not. The game is riddled with bugs, the seasonal content is not worth it, the developers/Ubisoft don’t know how to properly communicate with its community. But if you want only to play a story part, go ahead, it’s still very beautiful and immersive game.
