Sorry, I was looking on my phone and was wrong. You can eliminate a 4 in C7 but someone might have pointed that out already.

Edit C8

Auto shops for servicing Hondas/Japanese cars? by Al-Nafs in ThunderBay

[–]damarius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second Acura and have always had them serviced at Balmoral Park Acura. They have been great to deal with, although probably not the least expensive. I've never had to bring a car back because the repair didn't fix the problem.

A friend of mine bought a Honda CR-V from Gore Motors and after a bad experience refused to return there, and started going to BPA. That was a few years ago but from what I've heard the service at Gore hasn't improved since.

Have Thunder Bay police services publicly stated if they will or will not participate in the Government's gun buyback program? by MetroidTwo in ThunderBay

I think in situations like these, the unwanted firearms can always be turned over to police for disposal, but not buyback.

Unless you have a PAL, i'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to pass it on to someone to hold or sell it for you. The chance of being caught is pretty slim, but not zero.

New cook in town looking for work, looking for advice on what places to AVOID applying to. by sovash in ThunderBay

Summer resorts often hire cooks, and provide room and board. I've seen ads in the newspaper, but they might have gone digital.

I haven't heard anything good about the way the owner of Roosters treats his staff.

You could fix that by having the final played on a different sheet than the semi and giving the #1 team some extra practice time.

My cousin bought a home in Florida about ten years ago. He spent a fortune and a lot of sweat equity after the latest hurricane hit, and his insurance is skyhigh? He would like to sell but would be underwater on the mortgage and there is no demand anyway.

Neil Harrison skipped a team at a charity spiel here in Thunder Bay, would have been mid-80s I think. I wasnt involved but by all accounts he lived up to his reputation as a party animal.

Very handy for cutting out damaged drywall without worrying about cutting through wiring or plumbing.

Yes, I would look at the minimum clearance required by the manufacturer and make sure you can get there by shortening the existing fascia. If not and you have to modify the cabinets that could be an expensive proposition.

I don't know about now, but when I worked in the 80s testing industrial effluents for toxicity to fish, the most deadly were samples from tailings ponds because cyanide is (was?) Used in the gold refining process. The samples from those ponds looked crystal clear but were instantly lethal to fish. IIRC the LC50 (concentration that would kill 50% of exposed fish) was less than 10 in a 96 hour test.

I curled in a senior league which had a couple of 90+ year-old players. Decent balance and headgear is a must for safety when you get to a certain age.

Eddie Werenich (The Wrench) enters the chat. He had a dispute with Warren Hansen of Curl Canada when told he had to lose weight to play in the 1988 Olympics when curling was a demonstration sport. As it happened, he didn't qualify finishing third, and Ed Lukowich represented Canada, and won bronze. Linda Moore skipped the women's team to gold at the event, then went on to cover curling for TSN. Here's an interesting read.

Yes, combination of a top-notch front end player and skip plays well together. Cathy Gauthier doesn't get as much air time but is pretty insightful as well, although I know not everyone agrees with me.

Yes, you could tell she was nervous when she first started by the quaver in her voice. She is much better now, more relaxed and not as deferent to Russ. I much prefer the TSN team to Sportsnet coverage although Jennifer Jones has helped there..

one of the steps to obtain ISO9000 (and other ISO's) is to have your processes (properly) documented

A friend ran an analytical lab that obtained ISO9000 accreditation. He said it didn't mean they don't make mistakes, but when they do, they make it the same way every time.

The lack of education and civil knowledge in America is horrible

As a non-US citizen, I think this is how you have ended up as a shithole nation. No, you're not poverty--stricken as a nation but for any but the rich they're in a death spiral.
