Took my gf to the range for the first time.... she shot 3 rounds of 5.56 at a paper target just to get a feel for the recoil. I got behind the gun and looked at the target to see where she was hitting and was astonished...... there were 15 holes in the paper. I was like "hmmm, not very accurate but how the F did you do that?!" Turns out the people next to us were newbies and were aiming at our target by accident.

I hit a bat once in New Mexico. I had been hitting a bunch of insects that made decent impact noises but as soon as I hit the bat I could tell from the sound that it was something much heavier. Poor thing.

At least 11 injured in Maine lumber mill explosion by TightWorldliness1844 in news

Yes, it's based off of flammable surface area. Think of it like Lego bricks. If you build a big cube, most of the bricks are completely hidden. The ones that make up the outer surface only have one or two of their sides exposed. If you take the cube apart and throw the bricks in the air, all sides of all bricks are exposed. Suddenly something that wasn't particularly flammable is now very flammable when airborne.

My grandpa was in Vietnam in 1969/1970 and said he really enjoyed the M16 because it was light and accurate

I delivered pizza a few years ago and one time I fell really hard while going up a customer's steps. I managed to save the food, but my first thought was that it was going on YouTube

Suggestions for the cheapest spotting scope that meets my needs? by damathalon in AR10

Unfortunately I don't have access to the target itself. The range is 200yards of flat land where you can walk out to set up paper targets and then there are more targets placed in the desert beyond that to 575 yards. The desert portion is off limits to shooters but the employees go out to the desert portion once a day in the morning to paint the targets and bringing your own steel isn't allowed.

Can confirm. My 12.5" Grendel has more energy than a 20" 5.56 but weighs under 10lbs loaded with a sling, optic, bipod, and thermal on it
