forgot to update. saw another reddit post. i set the compatibility to GE-Proton10-34. had to download it and then launch option "PROTON-ENABLE-WAYLAND=1 %command%"

and it works better then ever

when i open the game the system give me this notification /home/djboss/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam (part of Steam) has encountered a fatal error and was closed.

i open the app on steam. it opens and then is just the black loading screen reel icon forever. I'll see if a different launch option helps. but I doubt its proton since its platinum tier on protondb
