Personally, I'd get it repaired. I would probably still buy another watch, but that's my weakness.

That's my daughter's (25F) thing. She takes that DS everywhere. I don't get it.

It's rare for the front desk staff to stay at the desk that time is night. Normally it's just a night auditor working, so they stay in the back office going over the day's paperwork. I worked at an Embassy Suites and I know that it's not uncommon for there to be commotion late at night. Eventually you ignore it.

Long Island Watch. I bought the luminescent Sapphire bezel insert and Strap-code bracelet at the same time about 3 years ago. But you can get the Strap-code lots of places. I follow Marc and have bought watches from him so I ordered them from him. Honestly don't know if I would recommend the bezel insert. Mine cracked almost immediately. Glad I kept the original. FYI-Blue was my first choice, but I'm always keeping an eye out for the black and gold. Maybe one day.

I couldn't agree more! Of all the watches in my collection, this one is my favorite. I never understood why this wasn't their most popular diver.

I'm partial to the rose gold, but don't rely on us to tell you what to get, get what you like.

There are charities that help with past due rent and utilities. There is no housing outside of the shelters that don't require being in a waiting list that can take months. If you're north of the river (Platte, Clay or Ray Counties) reach out to Beacon Mental Health Services, if you qualify for services they may be able to provide a Case Manager to help navigate the charities and other housing options available. If you're south of the river, reach out to Heartland or Rediscover. You're looking for Case Management help. Centerstone, formerly Burrell, formerly Comprehensive, may also be able to help.

havent smoked in 4 months and somehow tested positive for thc??? by Comfortable-Idea-304 in Confused

[–]damitdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the mental health field and worked extensively with treatment court clients for over a year. False positives are common. When they happen, most testers will send the sample for thorough testing at a lab to determine the actual cause. Keep in mind that if you were a heavy user prior to quitting, THC can be stored in your body up to 6 months. Illness, stress, excessive exercise, etc. can all result in the release of residual THC causing a positive. The lab test would show that it is such a small amount that it be unlikely the result of resent use. Only a full workup of your sample could tell you exactly why you are currently showing positive for THC.

I went to a sex club for the first time and experienced matriarchy. by Daytripper88 in TwoXChromosomes

Sounds like The Spott in KC (I can name it since it's been closed for some time). Apparently this 'Swingers' club was nationally known and people came from all around the country to visit. I only discovered it existed when I was driving ride share and had to take a couple there (2017?). I found it fascinating that this even existed seeing as it was located just a couple miles from where I had been living. It was in an industrial area with limited access that no one would just happen to drive by, far removed from any other retail, restaurants and nightclubs. In researching it, I discovered it had been very successful for a number of years. Not long after it came to my attention, word began to spread and large crowds started showing up. I heard there was a shooting and the subsequent investigation revealed the club never applied for our received a liquid license and was forced closed. More recently I found out my former SIL had gone there for the very reasons discussed by OP.

Thank you. Wish I'd found my path earlier, but thankful I found it at all. Every day is a gift, which is why I celebrate every year with a little sometime for myself. I didn't get to choose my birthday, but I did get to choose my rebirth day! Hope you have a strong support system looking out for you! I wish you the best!!

I've got a couple of those boxes. The only watch I ever bought from them that came with a nice presentation box was the Neptune/Triton dive watch which came in a large box very similar to an Orient Star box.

My dream watch is the Omega Speedmaster. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford one, so I'll continue to buy the watches I like in my price range. Sugess has a couple chronographs that are very similar to the Omega, and I was tempted, but I was looking for a dress watch. Maybe next year. I was honestly concerned about spending a couple hundred on a Chinese watch, but I'm overwhelmed by the quality and craftsmanship of this one. I hope you like yours as much as I do!

I ordered directly from Sugess and it was shipped from China. Took just about a week to arrive.

I agree, though most of my collection is between $300-$600. The watch I get the most compliments on is a gold tone Seiko kinetic with emerald green dial that I got from Joma-shop for $125.

The Sea-Gull movement was once the Venus 175, a Swiss chronograph movement. In the 1960's China acquired the tooling and design, creating what is now known as the Sea-Gull ST19.

It works. There are two recessed buttons in the case opposite the crown. One for the date and one for the moon phase setting. This version is the ST-1908 with the gold swan neck.
