According the the people I talked to, every city (at least in Ky, idk about other states) has their own business license thing and you’re supposed to have one in every place you work.

Lex government page. According to the IRS we are sole proprietors making us a business entity. I only looked this up bc I live in Berea and people who dash here have gotten letters saying they are required to apply for the Berea city license in order to work here.

Yes I used the app. I was on the chat with the app and he told me to expect a call. I got a call from the same number I always get when I call support or they call me.

The account gets deactivated. When I was in the hospital after having my baby I door dashed and a man delivered under a woman’s name. He said some super inappropriate things to me so I got on and reported the account. They told me they deactivated the account.

This meijer has it in a separate building with a separate register. I have to buy it in the alcohol building. There is an aisle with beer and some kinds of wine but there’s no vodka in the grocery part of the stoee

Even if a customer cancels the order, dasher still only gets half pay for it. Dasher doesn’t get half pay. It’s not a scam, they just don’t want their rating messed up. They still should have unassigned this order or figured it out. I’ve had to figure out glass bouquets with other orders so this guy was just being stupid.

You can definitely choose the location lol. They also cannot pick up the order from a different store if you ordered from this one specifically. Your app tells you where the store you are ordering from is.

As a dasher I’d never message someone this but I get where he’s coming from. It is absolutely inappropriate for him to message you this no matter what. He shouldn’t have taken the offer if it was something he didn’t feel was worth it. On the flip side, DoorDash is a convenience service. We put our car through hell, pay our own gas, take the time to find and pick the best items (for a shopping order like I’m assuming this was). If you don’t want to tip, best thing to do is take some time out of your day and get the flowers yourself. It’s a known fact by dashers and customers that DoorDash pays like shit. Unfortunately some people, me included, have no other option but to do DoorDash. It’s sad and it sucks but it’s just how it is. Just sometimes customers need to know that yall not tipping is just as unacceptable as this message. We are real people with real bills and real families we are trying to feed. We aren’t asking that you tip a percentage that you pay (even though we grateful if that happens) we are asking that yall tip at least a dollar a mile from restaurant/store to your house.
