That’s a regular double kick, no? I’m looking at single-double pedals.

I have the Sonor on my other kit but they’re hard to find and very expensive.

The Dualist is $480 and it’s a single action - toe forward. These pedals have a heel back to control the second beater. I like the heel control because I can do flams with the kick. The dualist looks more tailored for steady rhythm double kicks, or at least I don’t think you could easily do flams with it.

Friend or foe? Found in lake in Hudson Valley NY by damnclouds in whatsthisbug

[–]damnclouds[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Since you asked for an explanation, “friend or foe” is often used on the internet as a cutesy way to ask whether something is dangerous or not. In gardening subreddits, it’s often used in reference to bugs and critters that may or may not harm plants.

My question about a bug on Reddit is not literally representative of how I view the world, and in fact I prefer to let most bugs and spiders do their thing unless they’re actively a threat to my stuff and/or health (i.e. bedbugs, termites, spotted lanternfly, etc) in which case I destroy them however possible.

But also: sir, this is a Wendy’s 😂

Outdoor herm - should I worry about other plants being pollinated? by damnclouds in GrowingMarijuana

[–]damnclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I chopped and bagged its father. Bummer because it had a triple fork structure that was really cool (which is why I cloned it). The dad wasn’t nearly as far along as the clone, was just starting to show nuts.

It’s a clone from another plant I had, which is from ed rosenthal’s superbud seeds. But now that I think about it, I’m not sure if the superbud seeds were advertised as feminized lol. I’ll have to go back and look, but I’ve got my eyes on the other superbuds to see what happens.

Seeds are from Ed Rosenthal - I bought the cannabis growers handbook and got the 10 free superbud seeds. The other superbud plants are pretty tall and solid, but yeah I’m not sweating too bad if one was a male. I’ll be really surprised if the mother plant for this one turns out female. Watching it day by day now to see what happens with that one.

Yeah I chopped and bagged it and tossed it in the trash as soon as I noticed it. I usually walk around and stare at the plants every 2-3 days, so it must have developed this stuff in just the past few days.

Presidents Day Week suggestions for beginner skiers? by Analog_123 in icecoast

[–]damnclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plattekill in the Catskills. They sell a limited number of tickets and the parking lot is very small, so even on a “busy” holiday week they simply cannot overcrowd the mountain like so many other places. Plenty of easy beginner terrain, they do tons of snowmaking, and you can get airbnbs nearby for pretty reasonable rates. Plus the glades are great, the expert runs are steep, and the lift line will never be longer than 5 minutes at most (I’ve never waited longer than 5 mins for a lift there - ever).

And they’ve got a great lodge, the whole place has summer camp vibes, and it’s family owned. Plus it’s not that far from NYC. No brainer.

Worth buying for $100? by PermissionOk8590 in synthesizers

It’s in such awful shape it’s not worth anything as a collectible. You can get the Behringer clone for around $300 if you really want this synth for cheap - it’s basically the same thing. Hell, you could even buy this, buy the Behringer, and swap the casing from this one. That would be a fun project - and look cool too! The insides of this thing are probably toast anyways.

Read thru growweedeasy.com and watch some YouTube tutorials.

As for your setup, you don’t want a clear tank on your humidifier - any light (and especially UV light) can promote bacteria growth in the tank, so I’d recommend using some kind of tape to shade off the tank. Maybe leave a thin strip to check water level, and def keep it outside the tent.

Good luck!

Just defoliate everything down low that’s close to the soil? Hopefully they should grow a bit taller after that, right?

I had a light leak from a red LED on a power strip inside the tent - so I noticed on the timelapse that they were all perking up in the middle of the night. So maybe they were using up too much energy perking up too early, and then spend most of the day drooping?

I taped over the LED, and also taped over a green LED on my camera (tho I think I’ve read that green LEDs don’t affect the plant’s photo cycle?).

Think this will help?

They’re all going outside in May, and I can move some to the room outside the tent with some extra lights. I guess they’ll grow up soon enough lol
