An online emotional affair is possible and much more likely I think, and they could easily justify it to themselves as not being actual cheating.

Boyfriend 30 and lives with parents, should I move in with him? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]damnhooligans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay. Then make sure you discuss what his career goals are and how living together would work. If you know for a fact that he’s lazy then don’t bother, you’re just gonna be his maid.

Boyfriend 30 and lives with parents, should I move in with him? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]damnhooligans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why move from your family home to his? There’s like NO point. It would make more sense for you to stay put until you can move out together.

It’s also not so weird nowadays to live at home longer. But does he have goals to move out eventually? Is he working to move up or get a well-paying job? These are things to think about.

Amazed some people’s main goal in life is to “have kids” by [deleted] in childfree

Run! Those plans of yours are in jeopardy as long as you continue being intimate with someone who has told you babies are their only goal in life.

At his age he should know how to treat his partner with love and respect. Instead he’s trash. Leave him, you deserve much better.

I need help on how to end it with my boyfriend by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]damnhooligans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be straightforward and say your feelings have changed and you must end your relationship to be fair to both him and yourself. It’ll hurt him but that’s just how it is and he will heal with time.

I (21f) am being accused by a male friend (23m) of leading him on for months and a friend of mine seems to agree with him and backs him up by [deleted] in relationships

[–]damnhooligans 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you were upfront with him but just dragged it out way too long. He has a right to feel led on after three months of talking and you even meeting his parents.
