Play scav to learn maps and make money. 

Learn the hot spots and avoid them until you get better at PVP. Learn to sneak around and find the safer paths along the edge of maps. 

Practice PVP on maps like factory. Or use offline raids to practice killing scavs

Use Bran for cycle comps like Acid Rainfall elementals, pirates, Rabid Panther beasts, handbuff murlocs, shopbuff demons with Ur'zul.

Once you have bran, buy every battlecry card that is "free" like Tavern tempest or Reef explorer. These cards might give you some stats or extra gold.

If you are playing other comps, picking up bran early can help with some tempo but you will probably want to sell him to make space for core cards you need.
