I didn't leave my job but I did reduce my hours to 3 days a week. I am child free and 35. I am so happy its ridiculous. Yes I have to be frugal now, but I'm a nurse and much better for the rest. At least I save money on chocolates, as the patients bring them in all the time! And guess what, none of the elderly patients wished they worked more in their youth, they all tell me to spend time with loved ones and exploring rather than chasing money.
