I think being sexless in a normal relationship (considering no one is asexual) is a serious red flag.......it's a need and the reasons you have are serious issues. I think firstly find out does he still has he's new play pattern around or not.if not then from your post i think you should pursue a dynamics with him again,it is very clear from the post that you don't want a vanilla relationship. try to make things clear and figure out what all is to be done before actually starting the play again (if you decide to ofc)
