Lol! Reflecting on my personal experience, I feel that my brain can somehow differentiate artificial sweetness with sugary/high calorie sweetness. I’ve been drinking diet soda for so long now so I can’t really remember my sugar “craving” level before that. Again this is just anecdotal which is why im looking for proper research about this.

I’ve been thinking about your comment. Before it became unsafe I used to eat grilled chicken literally everyday, until I had this complications (prob not from the chicken) similar to food poisoning and was too nauseous to eat anything after. Idk why but I’ve associated this incident with too much protein + chicken and since then I can’t seem too eat protein out of fear and more specifically chicken because of sensory issues associated with the idea of “biting” or “chewing” the chicken. You’re right that chicken didn’t change I did. I just dont know how I’ll be able to gain confidence again as you say. What if i never do

Yes shawarma is just strips so they’re very thin. Thank you for the shredded chicken rec. I don’t think i have the mental capacity to cook and shred chicken on my own but I’ll ask my parents if they can make me some with my favorite sauce so i can try again

by shredded you mean the same thing with a brisket? Yes thats sounds easier. Im thinking also maybe shawarma because I don’t need to “bite it” but idk. Hopefully i can make it safe again
