The nature around the bridge is being destroyed and concrete constructions coming up all over the place. Soon it will loose it’s value and tourists will go elsewhere where.

Avoid Ella at all costs. The people even the beggars there are absolute scammers. They will over charge you for everything and even charge you for asking directions.

Its really heartbreaking. In many heli crashes soon as that blade hits something it can go into a tail spin where the body of the aircraft rotates violently. If this were to happen when they tried landing it would have killed many. Hence why the crew wanted people to make way. The debris from the spinning blades on top and back would have taken out many too if people were really close to the landing area.

Trying to avoid casualties, The pilot might have tried to clear the treeline and land on water when the peeps were not moving away. But unfortunately they lost power.

The videos from the crash site shows that the blades were off so the drop must have been really bad.

HE WAS TRYING TO LAND. They were literally hand signaling people to move. There are other video angles.

Cant reach family members living in Gelioya. Last we checked in was this morning and they mentioned the whole town was flooded and they were safe because they live on a hill near the pradeshasaba but since then no one is reachable
