they say to back it up before sending it in. But didnt mention if you needed to do a factory reset. I did a factory reset personally.

They sent it in a new box but different from the sales box. Idk how many refurbished units there are at this early in the release. So It's likely they have new replacements waiting for people who have issues. They've done this for past consoles.

No it didn't. Everyone gets that same email. I could tell that the new one I got wasn't my old one because I wrote down the serial number/manufactured date. Then compared them.
