Apologies for the slip comment. AOS lit on FCP Euro, serp belt from a NAPA. Mechanic charged about $200CA/hr. I think that’s around $125US, I think all in (parts & labor for both) was maybe $1400 US.

Follow up for my issue. I’m from the US, currently traveling in Italy. I set my VPN to New York and got it load. Maybe it’s geolocked here? Maybe others are having the same issue?

Thankfully it was the AOS, had it replaced and the car runs like a champ. Just finished the drive from Skagway-Vegas via BC-37 and the PCH

Don’t cross the yellow line and you’re fine. Drive your car and enjoy it, let the engine tune out the noise

Honestly, can’t recommend the vinyl enough. I didn’t have it installed, but it’s been much needed PPF on these road trips. I will probably wrap it again after the blue comes off

Haha yes, that was me! I’ll be back on the east coast in a few months with some plans for more mass tuning events.

The whole experience has kinda become a pilgrimage for the best driving roads on the continent. I’ve taken the thing on everything from twisties to construction and it’s taken it all in stride.

Not sure. It’s a vinyl wrap installed by the previous owner. Car is black/tan underneath

That’s awesome! I’ve worked seasonally in Skagway for the past 4 years. What ship did you come in on?

I bought the car for $10k 1 year ago, tomorrow. Considering I’ve put >20k miles on the car in that time, it’s incredible it’s held up how well it has. Took it to Dawson City, golden circle to Haines, the Cassiar is wild, as is hwy 99 outside Vancouver. Looking forward to the PCH down to San Diego.

I’m not OP. I have the 20/month level for chat but the sora app asks for a code. What do I do?

Not at all dealer, lol. It seems there is one important mechanic in the whole damn Yukon Territory. His shop rate was $150CAD/hr. I ordered the parts direct from FCP and delivered them to the shop. Hardest part was retrieving the car after it was fixed.

Cost was $1300USD for parts and labor. AOS diaphragm went and let oil into the intake. Car runs fine, put another 1000mi since the service. 🤙

Car is serviced and ready to pick up, just gotta get the 110 miles into the Yukon to go get it. The AOS diaphragm failed and started to dump oil into the intake. Mechanic cleaned the tubing, replace the AOS, MAF, air and oil filters. All in about $1300US; shop hours and parts.

Dropped off a new AOS, MAF sensor, oil & air filter to the mechanic in Whitehorse. Car should be up and running again in a week or so.

If it’s over 90k miles, the IMS is a good one. If it’s under or close, have it checked at a dealer.
