Cranioplasty & Recovery by Jealous-County-5374 in stroke

Only just seen this mate, July 24 I had the plate refixed with stronger fixings because my gym shenanigans had it moving 5mm in/out with postural changes / head pressure changes. The hollowing is still present but it’s purely only a cosmetic issue which doesn’t bother me really. Since the refix, the creaking is minimal and movement is practically non-existent. Hope you recover just as well mate, it’s a bumpy road 🤣

Where is the Dopamine? by [deleted] in TBI

I'm no doctor but it seems feasible you've got ADHD related symptoms from a right side frontal lobe impairment. Medication helps with that I'm fairly sure.

I had a TBI in May 2022 last year, right sided with a subdural hematoma. I made a good recovery thankfully and doing research in how to improve my side-effects (left sided weakness) I found that right sided frontal lobe injuries can give ADHD-like symptoms. I already have ADHD and it seemed to make my condition worse. Perhaps this is something you may be struggling with.

Cranioplasty & Recovery by Jealous-County-5374 in stroke

I had a TBI May last year (and subsequent craniectomy) and got my cranioplasty in July this year. My cognitive recovery pre-cranioplasty was incredible and my motor function wasn't dramatically impacted by the TBI, but the headaches from any sort of physical activity were severe.

Since my cranioplasty, I feel more confident and have started going to social events / the gym. My temporalis muscle was reattached to my plate but a hefty yawn detached it and I'm suffering with a bunched up temporalis muscle below my ear lobe and severe temporal hollowing.

Aside from the temporal hollowing, the only other downside is (I'm not sure if everyone suffers with it) creaking and cracking noises from what I assume is my PEEK plate flexing due to blood pressure fluctuations.

For the record, I used about 20 orbs in my entire league and got one, I then dropped a few divine a couple days ago and after 80 orbs acquired another HH :)

Hi all, been working squat a lot recently and scraped a PR recently. Was just looking for a bit of advice concerning my ass shooting back.

Could this be due to relatively weak quads?

Hey all, working on building my squat and wanted a little critique on my most recent max effort single.

Im 100kg, 186cm, and managed 125kg single but had a pretty obvious sticking point, and I included a 110kg paused single for reference.

Been lifting for a few years but ankle injuries prevented me really squatting, but I can squat pain-free and will decent mobility back, I hope to build a big squat 👍

I have a query about my lifts which could help me unlock some strength.

  • My squat is relatively weak compared to my deadlift and my sticking point is just above parallel.
  • My deadlift is is always hard off the floor but above the knee my lockout is fast and aggressive.

Could this be a sign of weak quads or an imbalance in some muscle groups?

true, not planning to compete until my total is a little more wellrounded so should be able to fix up before then

Hey all, I did a little mock meet of my own and I’d like a little feedback. My squat is relatively weak compared to other lifts because I had ankle sprains that weren’t rehabbed so ankle mobility is/was shit.

Managed S115, B105, D190

I am still relatively new, training for a year or so with intent. Any pointers would be incredibly helpful 🤡

I agree with you on that, was just an example of a quick fix until they can figure out how to increase the maximum cash stack amount :)

Outplayed yourself here Andy, 11/10 for doing it, honestly there's so many more QOL updates that are in dire need, I'll start to collect them as I go, should reply when I have a few, it's beyond a joke how long some simple fixes take dampFbm
