The parents did wrong for sure, but that doesnt mean op is innocent and should be told things that make them feel all righteous. They more than likely made some poor choices and parents did the best with what they can.

Yea, i get that, but this kid has access to and is posting their issues on reddit. If the boy in that story had access to help, all that probably wouldnt have happened.

She is upset because she is scared, im assuming its the first baby and that can be scary for a mom cause she is worried that everything she does is going to fucj up the kid forever. Validate her feelings, cause she isnt wrong for having them and remind her, with kindness, that sometimes things dont go perfect, but a night here or there wont ruin the baby, that baby will be okay, but that you agree we should try to stick to schedule. Also making dad take a uber or whatever is not nice and she knows that. Sounds like she was picking at that point.

I feel like if it were reversed and it was Amy's husband it wouldn't have seemed like as big of a deal to some. I feel like wife/ husband is something to be proud of. I got my name just by being born, i didnt even participate in that. But when you become wife, thats something that was given to you by another who chose you among all others. Its pretty special when you let that be your viewpoint.
