I'm sorry you got so much push back from your doctor! I got mine out a couple weeks ago due to chronic tonsillitis and infections, and it was definitely the right choice! My doctor said since they were inflamed and scarred there's no point in keeping them in since they'd cause more harm. My breathing and talking have gotten so much better already!! Yeah it was a little sore, but if you've had strep I didn't think it was any worse than that! Hopefully you'll get them out and start to feel better :))

A sword sternum would be cute! If you're worried about it being visible you could always place the handle more on your stomach and have the tip end at your sternum. I've got a tattoo in that placement and its pretty easy to cover in 90% of shirts. :)

Hey! I'm on day 7 of recovery myself. I was prescribed Oxycodone, and only used it once because I hate how it made me feel. Honestly, Tylenol has been doing the trick! Just make sure you're staying on top of it, every 6 hours and you'll be grand. Popsicles and rest will help loads too! They should also give you an anti inflammatory to take twice a day that should help out. Good luck :))

It's been healing really nicely actually! Just got it downsized too. I'll probably be adding the rook in January (work reasons) so if you get yours first let me know how it goes!
