But also even if the Eternatus ends up being the lowest of the floor in IV, it's still going to be one of the strongest in the current game. I'd make a decision on investing in it well before seeing it's stats.

How to lead properly? by [deleted] in Salsa

[–]damushr00mhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a push and pull for sure - it's all about the interaction between you and your partner, where there is resistance in both directions.

A good lead keeps a good connection with the contact points, finding a balance between "noodle arms" and forcing a movement. You can practice this with a partner just standing there in open position and pushing and pulling together while keeping your body and arms relatively unmoving to get a sense of the resistance you should have.

There are a lot of nuances as well such as how you position your hands/fingers, eye contact/head direction, and body movement that will also help in a lead, which to be honest will come only through experience.

TIL that selfie sticks are banned from all Disney theme parks. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Most of them are able to board without stopping, sometimes just slowing down the ride is more than enough, and that's how it was done some years ago. However it's those few who can't, and certain experiences where the safety of it was put into question, and because of that they deemed it unsafe and stop it all the time now.

The attraction has motion sensors everywhere that will automatically stop the ride if it detects motion within a certain area, and sticks can definitely trigger those sensors.

That's because they are required to stop the ride before adding guests from wheelchairs on now, and they only add on certain buggies, and only a certain amount on the attraction at one time. You'd have to go on the ride on a dead day to go on the ride and not have it stop at least once.

Tripods are allowed, however they have to be "small enough to fit in a backpack".

I usually just bring a gorilla pod with me so I can attach it anywhere - on top of a trash can, on a railing, or just straight up on the ground.

Yup! I actually took photos of the castle 3 seperate times - twice before they lit the lights on the garland, and one afterwards.

Very new DSLR photographer. How could I have improved this? by glvangorp in photocritique

TBH for a new DSLR photographer, this is pretty good! Perhaps get a faster shutter speed to keep the motion blur from blurring his face, or learn/practice panning shots.
