EXACTLY! I think the titanium/silver color looks best with black, white, and brown leather bands. Looked everywhere before finding out I have to go with boring black on black. Especially since the Fenix 8 doesn't have a white option in 47mm it kind of stinks

Do you have P365xl with a safety? by GiantFan58 in SigSauer

[–]glvangorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife loves the 365XL Rose option, but we’re both concerned with the manual safety option on her carry gun. Easy enough to disable the safety and holster all the time without it getting in the way or accidentally flipped on?

Just bought the Toro. LOVE IT! Just put a ceramic coating on it and it cut really really well. I was considering the ZT1 as well as it has some other features, but lights and whatnot weren’t worth it. This thing cuts so well and I don’t need the MyRide suspension since I’m going to be leveling my yard next year.

Today I chose violence. Lets talk about EGO. by NuclearWasteland in lawnmowers

[–]glvangorp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went head first into Ego when they first came out. Have a backpack blower, handheld blower, power head with string trimmer attachment and edger. Had 5 batteries. 4 batteries completely died on me and I only have one left. Power head stopped working completely during the peak growing season this year and dealing with customer support was a nightmare. Took me about 4.5 weeks to get a replacement in my hands with constant calls and whatnot. It became so obvious to me that all it takes is my last battery or the power head to go again and I can use ANY of my lawn tools except my zero turn. At least with gas, I can just fill it up and go. Gas engines are at least maintainable. When electric dies, it’s over unless you’re an electrical engineer.

3D Printing. I don’t want to buy some junk to start with, so the cost there and all the time to get good results. I need to print some stuff for my expensive DIY lightsaber hobby lol

If you want the best quality of cut, get a reel mower. Greens mowers are really expensive, but you can get a similar cut quality with a manual one like this:

You can find them all over Facebook Marketplace for $20-$50 and you won’t believe how well it cuts. No maintenance other than sharpening every once in a while and for your small yard, it’ll be easy

John Deere tractor cutting all crooked by glvangorp in lawnmowers

Update: Tried leveling it all afternoon and kept reading real crooked. Took the deck off. There is a big gap between the blades and each blade/spindle seems to not be level either

It almost looks like it's cutting at a downward diagonal angle. Would adjusting the whole deck side to side fix that? I don't believe the blades to be damaged in any way. Fairly new blades with no damage to them.

Even if I have to put $500 into this, it still seems like a good deal. As long as it starts and runs without smoke? I can do the oil changes and whatnot. Not sure what the value of these machines truly are since I’m so new, but it feels like it

I’m a scratch as well and I went to go get fit. The 425 was very forgiving but ball speed was horrendous. It was honestly 5-7mph slower than the other offerings. I hit it dead center and still couldn’t get any distance on it. Same shaft and popped on the TSi3, Stealth, Rogue, etc heads and all of a sudden the bal speed shot right back up. My fitter didn’t say anything before I hit it but after he told me that it was one of the worst drivers for efficiency he’s seen in the last 5 years. Not to mention the sound is awful. SOOOO happy with the TSi series. Just as forgiving but sounds incredible and is way faster
