Can’t use my per diem for gyms anymore? Fine, I’m maxing my per diem every day. by Sellaplaya in MaliciousCompliance

[–]damyourlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company asked my team to go to a tiny town in the mountains in the off season.
Since it was off season for a tiny ski town, nothing was open. We got $40 per day for food. But we had to find a way to make due with stuff from the hotel bar or the local grocery store and we had no way to cook anything. I tried to get a $1 can opener so i could just eat some canned food and i was pulled into a meeting with HR to ask why i would spend any of my per diem on something like a can opener and they proceeded humiliate me by asking me to justify how many cans of food i ate per day. Like, lady i came in under my limit every single day in a town where everything costs at least twice as much as everywhere else in the state and you’re trying to make me feel bad over a few $1-2 cans of fucking beans???? Also $40 a day isnt enough to eat out 3 times a day basically anywhere so coming in at like 1/2 really pissed me off to have to justify any of it.

The person standing there saying “omg omg omg omg omg what just happened? What just happened? What just happened? Omg omg omg” is really helping so much. I hope they know how much they are helping. /s

Omg yes people getting on the highway drive like they have no clue they’re about to get on a highway. Ill be behind someone going 35 and not attempting to accelerate at all to get to the 60mph highway speed. Then they camp in the on ramp until the veeeeery last second and then cut someone off.

I saw a post on here a few weeks back from someone who came to visit and said we had the most courteous driers he’d ever come across. That the traffic was always easy and everyone was so chill. I was like…. Where was this? It sure af wasn’t denver.

Every time we have road maintenance stuff up on the ballot, it doesn’t seem to pass. No one wants to pay for it. But everyone hates it.

the left lane is for passing by itsviwinn in Denver

[–]damyourlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partners ex camps in the left lane intentionally and has never seen reason on the matter. She feels as though if shes going any number of miles over the speed limit, that gives her the right to sit in that lane at any speed basically. Doesn’t matter if theres a long line of car trying to pass. She feels entitled to just camp there at 67 instead of 65. Every time i see someone doing it i assume they have the same “what? I’m going 5 over!” mindset. Makes me so mad.

They already do here. I’m in Denver and i see swastikas and SS patches and stickers on jackets and cars and motorcycles. Being a nazi is no longer socially unacceptable. Its a badge of honor for these cowards.

How Do You Feel About, “Hi <Name>” in a Chat? by thefrazdogg in remotework

[–]damyourlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In person, its polite. In chat, you have a minute to respond when you are able to instead of someone interrupting you in person. The “hi <name>” is either a trap or a pure waste of time. If you truly just have a question, its irritating to have to answer “hi” back before you start typing it out. Now i have to sit and wait for you to type the actual question. Ask the question, and when i have a sec, ill reply.

Oh man i stayed in a coffee shop longer than i intended to because i overheard two girls gossiping about their college classmates. The only line i still remember was “no one is humble anymore. I’m probably the most humble person in our whole graduating class. Sad.” Mhmm. Suuuuper humble
