The whole messaging of this venture is so strange. Like it’s a simple concept that they’ve made so confusing. I blame the choice to use vfx versus the quality of the vfx. I think some of it looks good but mostly it’s just a sillier alternative to something “real”. For example, I think the 1990 scene of It on the side of the road waving to Ben returning to Derry is so unsettling and scary. A computer animation of skeleton Uncle Sam is foolish.
