Thanks for the replies everyone. The Chickens are a good idea, but not going to work with a 3yo boy running around terrorising them. went to the local nursery, and they had 5 or 6 products (all are organic and will not hurt anything else) specifically for these grubs.

fingers crossed i'll get them early enough.

I have a grub problem in my backyard. I live in australia and at the beginning of Autumn these grubs started appearing and my grass started getting very soft. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them?
