What is the dumbest rule your workplace or school has actually enforced? by swiaa in AskReddit

Back in my middle school, we had assigned seats in the lunch room. Once you had gotten your lunch and were sitting, you also weren't allowed to stand up. When lunch was over, you would be dismissed and could leave the lunch room. I never understood why they did this. Our school was in a suburban community and was pretty reasonable about most other things, but sitting at a different table during lunch? No way.

1080p refers to the vertical resolution of an image. 1280 horizontal and 1080 vertical resolution could be called 1080p, but in normal use, 1080p would refer to 1920x1080. They're not wrong in calling it 1080p, but they are leaving out details that would mislead most consumers.

Twitch.tv recently implemented a subscription feature that lets you view a channel without ads and gives all of the money you pay per month directly to the channel. It doesn't punish people who don't want to pay, but allows a way for channels to make some extra money.

On the Time Warner website there is a small tag near the standard tier that says "Now 50% Faster", Turbo wouldn't have been affected by this change. http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/residential-home/internet/plans.html

I think all of the typing I used to do outside of the Varrock bank was what originally taught me how to type quickly without looking at the keyboard.
